And as said elsewhere yesterday, maybe the Saudis don't agree on the value now. You could see the double-header being something more historic, maybe part of a series if the respective winners and losers fight next, but the fights individually worth less.

Maybe they're waiting on the Usyk and Fury fights - don't suppose Hrgovic will be difficult to deal with if the Saudis really want him to delay his mandatory?

Surely to Sweet Caroline they'd splash out on Buffer for an event like this.

For the past 7 years Joshua has always been fighting Wilder after his “next fight”.
Why am I not surprised that this policy is being extended into its 8th year.

All the while Wilder gets closer to his 40th Birthday......and then, with all the signs of decline they will announce the fight.

Hearn now saying a world title takes priority over the Wilder fight and they’re pursuing a fight with Hrgovic for a vacant belt after the IBF gets vacated once the first Fury v Usyk fight is done and the rematch is signed.

Yesterday Hearn was saying he doubts Fury v Usyk will happen. Now they’re not facing Wilder because they’re going to fight for a belt that would only become vacant should Fury fight Usyk twice. I can’t keep up.

He also said it’s a shame there is a rematch clause between Fury and Usyk. From the king of insisting rematch clauses are everywhere himself. Complete clown.

In the heavyweight division Matchroom are irrelevant and have been for some while. He knows that himself deep down.

Joshua against Hrgovic is still a good fight to be fair. I guess the defence is that the IBF just stated this today that they would order Hrgovic vs Joshua so there's a change of plan with the Wilder fight.

To be honest if no country is putting up the money Joshua and Wilder were originally offered by the Saudis, I doubt it takes place. Wilder and Finkel don't seem in much of a hurry either.

A lot of people did say that Hrgovic would be a tough fight for Joshua. I'd rather see Joshua vs Wilder, but Joshua against Hrgovic would still be a great fight to be honest, and much better than Franklin, Whyte and Helenius. Hrgovic is probably the 5th (or 6th) best heavyweight right now. He took big shots of Zhang and outboxed him. Even most of the people who had Zhang winning only had it by a round, and the knockdown was very dubious.

If we see Joshua against Hrgovic or Wilder in 2024 I'd be pretty happy.

It’s how Hearn tries to discredit Fury v Usyk saying it won’t happen but then a day later he’s planning on Joshua fighting for a belt that would only become vacant should Fury fight Usyk twice. Either he’s changed his mind on it happening in 24 hours or he was talking bollocks the day before.

Joshua v Hrgovic next April or so is fine with me. Gives them time to have another fight in between to keep active.

I would love if Fury beat Usyk and then put the IBF belt directly into a bin in the middle of the ring.

Hearn does sound bitter that Fury vs Usyk is happening. I believe the IBF would become vacant after the first fight between Fury and Usyk.

Joshua vs Hrgovic without the IBf on the line is decent as well. To be honest Hrgovic is really good in my opinion, I've always rated him, and Joshua would lose a lot more losing to Hrgovic than Wilder.

Yeah I meant as soon as the second fight was signed then the belt becomes vacant.
