Now people have had weeks to analyse this fight, and come to a well thought out conclusion, who do you think will win the fight, why and how?
I think Wladimir has the better footwork and speed with more skill and ring IQ.
I think Joshua is younger stronger and punches harder with more confidence.

Ive gone for AJ. I agree that Vlad is not what he was, at the end of his journey but I think there are only 2 people at this moment in time who can beat Vlad and Joshua is one of them, Fury obviously being the other.

Vlad needs to dominate behind the jab to do his thing and it has been the key to his success for the decade he has just dominated. Either his opponants had too small a reach to get round the jab or establish their own or they had the reach but were just big lumps and wernt quick enough to the punch. Fury had the height, reach yet still had fast hands, that combination was what ruined Vlads style.

I think Joshua also has those key ingredients. He has just a good a reach, a very very good jab of his own and has faster hands that Vladimir. It sounds like a very lame basic breakdown, annalasys but i honestly believe it is that simple and that basic, if you can kill his jab his whole game falls apart just like it did against Fury and Joshua has the tools to do it.

Joshua. Wlad showed us that he no longer has what it takes to be king anymore. Joshua is the same size as him and the Fury fight exposed Wlad's weakness when he can't lean on an opponent and tire him out. Plus I really like that upright 1-2 combo that Joshua has been throwing lately. The jab is paramount for a guy his size, plus he mixes his set up now when he has a guy cornered.
As for the last Klitschko, "Long live the King, the King is Dead"

I'm hoping we see the Wlad of the Pulev fight.

I'm fearing that we see Wlad dragged out by his heels.

Either way this is an acid test for both guys.

Aj and the reason is simple due to the fact Aj is a far superior fighter in every single aspect

I see AJ struggling to catch Wlad, and Wlad winning a decisive UD.

I like Vlad...but he's getting KO'd. He's been in the game too long. I could tell a huge decline in the Jennings fight. I wish he would have retired then. Now, from here on, more losses will scar his great accomplishments. After this, I hope he retires.

Ive got a weird feeling it's going to be boring and Joshua wins on points. I think he had to really go on the front foot to tire Wlad and eventually catch him but if he does that he give Wlad a big chance to counter. Just dont see WLAD being able to control pace for 12 which will be his undoing.

Wladimir has been shot for 4 years now, that being said I see him winning by KO early.

I don't see Joshua as a real threat to anyone at heavyweight with some boxing ability. Unfornately from what I saw in the Fury fight leads me to believe Father Time has definitely caught up with Wlad

Gut says Joshua knocks him out mid rounds. Heart says Wlad lands one more beautiful left hook and puts Joshua down for the count. Officially? Joshua KO7

Tough fight to call, both are unknown quantities. Joshua is untested at this level, it's a big step up in class and Wlad hasn't fought in almost a year and a half, is 40 years old and been in decline for some time now.

I'm favouring the younger man to overcome the more experienced veteran. Joshua is getting better with each fight, though he's still has some flaws Wlad could exploit, but I think Wlad has faded too much. His jab isn't what it was and he's going to get out jabbed again and I don't think he can prevent Joshua from pressuring him.

More than likely this will serve as a true and decisive passing of the torch. Fury/Klitschko was closer to Ali/Spinks than anything else, pure trash with not much in it, pretty obvious Fury didn't believe he was up for the task again. Wlads recent struggles with pulling the trigger doesn't bode well for him here.

I'm also starting to think this.

And yet Wlad looks in awesome shape physicallly. He's not the fat slob that most HW's are in their 40's. If he doesn't have the fire anymore then that's it, pack up shop. Physically, I think he may still have enough left in the tank to surprise some people. Mentally, I dunno.

I think he'll probably retire after a farewell fight in Germany should he lose here. Wlads not the type to stay past his shelf state and risking damaging his legacy or long term health.
