How good can a boxer be if he’s knocked out by David Price in sparring with massive gloves and head guard? I’d like to see Joshua in with other young, fearless boxers.

You're forgetting pea head Price was a tidy boxer who could pop a fair bit

Price was also years ahead of AJ at that time with regard to seniority. As much as I love the AJ bashing you got to be level headed when making comparisons.

Fury ducked price and went for the Irish title didn’t he?

Yes, at British level, so what’s your point?

Price was probably the hardest hitting heavyweight when he was active. Big power. I really liked big Pricey.

AJ and Price both glass jawed.

Maybe people commenting in a thread that is about Price allegedly knocking someone out? What a strange comment.

Ridiculous thread. A right hand flush from Price, a genuine 6ft 9 goliath would put over 99% of heavyweights.

    Troll thread

Price, like another UK boxer looked like he had thunderous power on the way up but that also became less evident when facing better fighters.

    Enjoyed this KO

Price had devastating power but once his confidence went, so did everything else. He never had a great chin/defence. A psychologically damaged fighter. Looked great on the way up until the levels increased. He was the same as an amateur, the elite of the division just too much for him.

His boxing was arguably world level, and his power definitely was. Just didn't have the chin / cahones so never progressed beyond British.

World level? Bit of a hyperbole mate.

Incredible that so many people give so much importance to what happens in sparring. Boxers spar to try out new things they've been training on in camp, it's not a big deal.

Isn't sparing about learning and making mistakes, and also trying out some new things??
