Well Takam was just a replacement remember. Judging from what I've red, he's been one hell of a replacement despite losing most of the rounds.

When you say 'these level fighters' do you mean ones that can go 10 rounds with Joshua? because thats pretty impressive for a fill in to come in and do 10.

If you're talking about either Tyson or Hughie, yes, they both have exceptional interior fighting skills for men their height and size.

Are there posted here trying to claim takam won a round ? Which round and how could he possibly win it ? We could take every punch taken landed through the 12, combined and still there's only a few rounds he could've won scoring that way.

I try telling people who don't know any better, this is one of those fights with only one possible outcome which I'd exactly what we ended up with.

They could fight literally thousands of times yet, same result every single time..again we have cst80 picking takam..to beat Aj, takam to beat.Aj. Cmon man, the Walt egos earth like a god, brezeale and now this guy, WTF.

I'm wondering who you bet in the wlad fight

Its the HW division, one punch is all it takes. Some great great fights have ended like that. The reff was right there though and was in the best position to make that call. The replays dont agree with the reff and so do many others but Im beginnin to feel sorry for these reffs and judges now because theyre at the centre of every big fight now.

You're trying to claim takan had ANY SEMBLANCE OF SUCCESS, that's beyond pathetic. The only thing takam was doing "fairly well" at was not trying to win, nor engage, nor score points.

All he came with was a decent chin

This is weak trolling, povetkin had a war with takam, Aj treated him like a sparring partner..the ref has the most responsibility for protecting the fighters.

Why continue the fight ? You're looking to end takams life or just career. He had nothing that made it where no one should had wanted the beating to continue. Takam was completely outclassed from the opening bell and it was just getting worse and worse for him every time Aj landed halfway cleanly he was getting hurt. his

In total mismatches, (more so at hw where it's really any 1 punch could change ones life, possibly effecting him the rest of his life.

I don't want to see two fighters with such a massive gap in talent continue when the incredibly inferior fighter is the only one who's been receiving 100% of the punishment.

Were some of you still struggling in the tenth round with who was the superior fighter ? Could everyone not see there was factually only one possible outcome.

It's true, it does take some longer than others. I could see letting Aj tee off more on takam, IF, SAY takam could muster up enough to win a single round, just one

He was breathing through his mouth because had a broken nose that was heavily bleeding. Then when the blood clots you can't breathe through it any more!!

And after Takam was hurt he didn't throw a single shot back.

And as for Povetkin knocking out Takam, I don't know what that proves, Takam also gave Povetkin a much tougher fight, and let's not forget AJ knocked out Wlad as well. Povetkin didn't. In fact he lost.

If you watch the fight again, you will see as soon as AJ starts to unload in that final round, the ref is already bracing himself to stop the fight.

The ref wanted any reason to stop the fight. He was hoping the doctor was going to do the dirty job for him but he didn't so took matters into his own hands

This stoppage really pissed me off and the last time i was this frustrated was after Froch-Groves 1. Now what happened last night flashed me back to Froch-Groves 1, same circumstances Eddie's top fighter and most valuable asset both receiving somewhat questionable (no need to imo) stoppage wins, both Groves and Takam were stopped with the refs being in a ridiculous position and not being able to see the fighter's eyes and be able to see if they really can continue.
Who wouldn't be surprised if the above quote was true ?. We are talking about serious potential monies here for Matchroom, Froch got a Groves return fight with 80,000 at Wembley Stadium and even more so now with the AJ brand. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if these seemingly in-house refs Foster and Phil Edwards were if not greased before these fights would be certainly at the very least "looked after".

I enjoyed the card. Early on it seemed Helenius might be able to control distance and land his straight right inside Whyte's more loopy shots but Whyte was too physical and Helenius had no fire.

I couldn't believe it when I saw all these threads about AJ vs Takam. I gave Takam round 7, that's it. Plus he got decked.

If anything the best thing that could happen for Takam is the ref stepping in early. Cause if the fight had continued as it was going, and Joshua won with scores of say 120-107, 119-108, 119-108, then I'm not sure anyone would care about Takam anymore.

I don't get people saying AJ was gassing and Takam was gonna knock him. They're nuts. Watch highlights of Takam vs Parker, where Parker was so gassed he couldn't even stand straight, and Takam didn't do ****. AJ was still 100% composed and landing all the telling blows when the ref stepped in. Who cares if he's breathing heavy in his corner - his nose was busted by a headbutt. What do you expect

I was thinking that I might read a Joshua fans dissapointment of the reff stopping the fight. Of all AJs TKOs, that was the worst one.

Povetkin is the only one to KO Takam. Parker and Joshua couldnt knock him out. Takams a tough dude.

By this logic, David Haye knocked Chisora out clean in 5 rounds, Fury didn't, Vitali didn't, so Haye must be the HW around.

I dont care about that logic or names that arent the ones I mentioned. All Im saying is Parker and Joshua both failed to knock out Takam. Is what I said correct? Yes. Well thats all.

You watch Joshuas TKOs theyre fantastic. You watch the Takam one...well AJ fans werent complaining about the stoppage.
