Joshua was too aggressive.

Nah, I think those body jabs against Povetkin are clearly over-exaggerated for Joshua. People forget Povetkin was 39 years old too, and he didn't have the legs to last 12 rounds against any decent opponent, which had very little to do with Joshua's jab but more to do with his old age.

A prime Povetkin is not getting stopped by Joshua and wouldn't be tired from those light jabs. Andy Ruiz is in his prime and had the stamina to last 12 rounds.

I think big chubby aggressive fighters with good chin, fast hands and stamina are a nightmare for the likes of AJ and Wilder.

So we have to give credit to the Klitschkos for dominating against these fat guys who are more dangerous than people think they are.

Combination of things went wrong for AJ, but he definitely lost respect at one point, whereas Ruiz never lost respect and stayed consistent entire fight.

Credit to Ruiz for a number of things.

It’s a wake up call for Joshua. I think this is the best thing that could have happened to him tbh.

I think this is the fight that turned Joshua to the Klitschko blueprint. I can see prime Wlad beating Ruiz but not the young one.

Ive Always sad that Joshua should mold himself like that. Jab and grab and be careful picking power shots. Give or take some attributes He has about the same strengths and weaknesses as Wlad.

Yup, Joshua has to obviously improve and most likely can. But just not in a few months. And I'm also not sure if he ever would be as good as Wladimir Klitshcko.

Povetkin gave AJ problems early in their fight, his age, him punching himself out led to him tiring at the end and AJ pounced on him at the end

Lol it looks like Wilders devastating One round ko of brazzeale a guy who took AJ seven rounds put pressure on AJ to knock Ruiz out early and caused him to be reckless and through out his Wlad like caution approach out of the window to his detriment. Man boxing is such a beautiful sport

Just got to see it now and he nade a bad matchup even worse for himself by trying to trade and war with someone with quicker hands who could hurt him. So stupid.

He shoukd have taken a page out of Wlads book in this one.

I think Joshua should have brawled with Ruiz imo. He shouldve thrown diverse combos while lowering his head. Joshua is not a natural boxer. Seems like hes doing a bad Vlad impersonation with the jab which Ruiz countered often. Joshua's right hand after the jab also was slow and plodding and to make matters even worse, he was off balanced after he threw an inaccurate 1-2 which Ruiz countered. Then Ruiz followed it up with hooks and swinging right combos whenever Joshua turlted into his tight guard.

AJ needs to prepare better. Ruiz was too comfortable in that fight early. Give him different looks and feints in the early rounds so Ruiz can't just stand there and comfortably trade.

Joshua has the athletic ability to be aggressive combined with explosiveness. Joshua also has a sweet surprise left hook from a low position, whenever he tucks his head. Joshua needs to impose his size to offset Ruiz speed.

Ruiz made it into a fight and Joshua is not a natural fighter.

Joshua wasn't landing flush with any regularity. Ruiz was ducking and riding most of those shots in the first two and a half rounds.

What do you mean? Joshua did nothing but look to counter. I honestly don’t see how any judge could give him a round. He didn’t do a s h I t.
He lost to a better boxer. He will lose again to Andy if they rematch. Wilder will get outboxed aswell. The toughest fights for Andy will be mike hunter and fury.
