    The Top Rank promoter told the New Standard/*********** that promoter Eddie Hearn had informed him that “they are not going to be able to do the Quigg fight this year because he has another heavyweight fight that’s going to be on pay per view that’s more important, so he’s offered it for next year unless I can get this going in Dubai.”

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    Can't describe how much of a disgrace that is.

    Likely to mean all Joshua fights, like Brooks are now PPV. Ridiculous.

    It is ridiculous your right pal but it was always going to be ppv. Joshua is high market value. I wont be buying it though.

    Pay-Per-View was intended as a format to generate the money to ensure that true super-fights got made or to bring to the UK exceptional, elite talents. Fights like Hatton vs Tszyu, Mayweather vs Pacquiao or Trinidad vs De la Hoya.

    What Hearn and Adam Smith have done is made a mockery of the thing, to the extent that Bellew vs Cleverly, two guys who are a combined 0-2 at elite level, is considered worthy of a PPV fee. Joshua is 1-18 to beat Whyte, a one-sided fight between two men without a win against a top 50 world ranked opponent.

    To be fair Hearn probably considers 1-18 a competitive s**** after Anthony went in a ridiculous 250-1 ON favourite to beat Gary Cornish in his latest ''fight''.

    I do not think Whyte is a strong enough name to sell this as PPV. It would have to have a very, very strong undercard. Also it is going to happen less than a fortnight before Christmas, which maybe a financial issue to some.

    Disgraceful I agree but most people are more eager to see this fight then they were for Bomber/Clev 2, so in Eddies head that is guaranteed PPV money.

    If my memory serves DeGale Vs Groves was PPV and they were basically novices so if this is PPV it does not surprise me in the slightest.

    It's terrible, but apparently AJ Vs Cornish did ridiculously good viewing figures considering it was a mismatch with a p*** poor undercard.

    So we are going to have to get used to the idea Sky and Hearn are going to milk the public for everything they can when it comes to AJ.

    I will say what I always say, you do have a choice, if you do not like the idea then do not buy it.
