When Usyk inevitably moves up to heavyweight, presumably after (potentially) winning the WBSS, after adjusting to the weight does he pose a serious threat to the heavyweight kingpins like Joshua, Wilder and maybe Fury once he gets back into the mix. If so how does he beat them?
I'm a bit ****ing sick of seeing posts which completely ignore Joseph Parker as a legit titleholder, tbh.
He's potentially not going to be as effective at the HW ranks BC..... 1. He will be heavier which will slow his movement down and pace overall. . That's his BIGGEST strength. 2. He will be small in that divisional and not enjoy his long reach advantages he does now. 3. He will find it harder to hurt guys BC they WILL be. This will make it difficult if he runs into power punchers who press him. 4. All three guys you mentioned would be favored over him BC the points I addressed and Joshua would win very easily going by what they've done and what they HAVEN'T . 5. There some guys at HW who may let him look good like Parker, Hughie, Breazeale and Joyce.....all in all he's still going to struggle at HW wheather he gets top wins or not. Of course I'm a hater on here BC I'm not going to put a cape on him and tell everyone he's going to out box all the SHWs and how hes running through his OWN weight class? If Breidas wins a lot of rounds and takes him 12 some posters will still swear Usyk is favored to take over the HW division. How can he beat them? Well with minimum mistakes in near perfect fights on his toes for 12 rounds.
I think Usik has a better chance with Joshua, because Joshua's stamina is questionable and if Usik doesn't lose his speed in HW, Joshua will tire of trying to catch up with Usik. Fury in the shape in which he fought with Klitschko, clearly a favorite in the fight with Usik (too big, fast enough and strong).Wilder is still a "dark horse" for me, and I hope that the fight with Ortiz will dispel all doubts
The most logical post about Usyk yet. He is 6'3" fighting at 200lbs for a reason. Mike Perez anyone?!!! He is very athletic and has a chance if he becomes the old Mayweather version of a heavyweight fighter and tries to tire guys down by being evasive for 12 rounds. Other than that at his age those big guys will just bang on him unless he takes some advice from "Evan Fields".
In six years he's only fought 13 times at pro level where he's only fought 4 guys worth noting that tallied him up to a 50% k.o percentage with meaningful opposition. This will probably get lowered after Breidas but it won't matter BC Briedas is not a HW either... What it will show is how can a guy be deemed the HW conquerer with what I just posted?
David Haye could punch. Haye vs Joshua is doable if Haye can get back to form. Usyk ,no HW power, southpaw ...relies on being at length too all work against him with Joshua. David Haye would defeat Wilder a few years ago, I can't see Usyk having such an easy time. Fury could out point him. Really only sizeable punchers stand a better chance against the 6'9 boxer.
