Joshua / Wilder will not happen anytime soon 'cos AJ is on PEDs, and he'd have to sign up to Wilder's more vigorous testing programme (that previously caught out Povetkin and Ortiz). Miller has talked about this, Whyte has talked about this (before he joined Matchroom!). NOT making this fight (and going for Povetkin instead) makes zero financial sense and zero boxing sense, but AJ and Hearn will now have to try and spin it like Wilder is ducking them. The truth, however, is obvious. They're scared. Using PEDs is too risky, and they're scared a clean AJ simply won't have the power of a PED AJ. Hearn isn't really a promoter for AJ, as AJ is such a brand that he basically promotes himself. He'd still sell out Wembley fighting my pet hamster. Hearn is now in the odd position of basically being employed to stop AJ from getting criticism for not fighting Wilder. He's AJ's criticism condom. This is the moment when his PED use will begin to dictate his career. All those people who think he's gonna fight Wilder anytime soon won't be able to explain how AJ (already an elite athlete) put on 30lbs of muscle in less than 3 years without gaining 1% body fat. The answer to this and the reason why he's gonna duck Wilder is the same: PEDs.
