If Wilder gets beaten before an AJ fight fight which is pretty much well set up now (presuming Joshua gets past Parker) ... there would only be one word for it ... 'Doh !'.

From a fans point of view it needs to happen now.

But as Oscar Wilde said, "There are two tragedies in life. One is not getting what you want, and the other is getting it."

Should the fight happen next, the heavyweight division could suddenly become very boring for a while.

I see where your coming from, I personally want the fight this year but I doubt it will be this year, but the part I disagree with is whyte being a dodgy fight for wilder to take he just beat Ortiz and Ortiz would school and ko whyte

While I do think holding off would only build the fight as fans on both sides get more and more hungry for the fight the danger is they wait too long which is worse than fighting too early. Look what happened with Mayweather/Pac they waiting to long and Pac was KO'ed by JMM. By then I lost all interest in the fight and I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

Wilder will be 33 this year, the fight needs to happen this year or early next year at the latest. Wilder or even Joshua could lose before the fight happens, I don't want to see Joshua facing a Wilder in his mid 30's. These guys a pretty much both prime now. It has to happen within the next 12 months.

I told you, this is only the hype. Both side knows they can make maybe even double amount of money in 2019, right now all they have to do is trashtalking, and knock out easy opponents. Building up the fight.

The fight should happen ASAP, but Wilder is afraid of Joshua! Where is the $50,000,000?! Well, there is no $50,000,000, Haymon will not allow his fake fighter to get knocked out by Joshua. Hell, Haymon had to protect Widler from Povetkin, VADA cleared Povetkin, but Haymon's WBC cancelled the fight anyway to keep Wilder from getting knocked out. Povetkin won a lawsuit, he was proven innocent, but still not fight with Povetkin! Wilder is a coward, he will fight Breazeale next! Breazeale is owned by Haymon, was knocked out by Joshua, the pefect fighter for Wilder and Breazeale can't fight at all!

Yes, I agree. Wilder should fight Joshua, but Haymon knows Wilder will get knocked out. It is Wilder who claims he wants the fight, but when it comes time to sign a contract, Wilder hides................

Fight won't happen next, most likely Joshua/Povetkin and Wilder/Breazeale next. They are obviously nowhere near close to coming to an agreement and honestly only one side is even negotiating as I wouldn't call some BS offer that was only valid for 24hrs a genuine offer just a poor attempt to deflect some of the criticism coming their way for not making a counter offer as agreed.

Hopefully both Joshua win their next fights, neither of them are a forgone conclusion. Povetkin always has a punchers chance even if he is past his best and I expect Breazeale to give Wilder a scare at the very least.
