I was one of those who stated he could bounce back, but not from a fluke. IMO a fluke was McCall or Rahim who landed a punch that got them the belt & didn't 2nd time around whereas Ruiz didn't land a lucky shot. He beat the guy up, dropped him several times. That isn't a fluke.

Rematch was a matter of AJ IMO doing what he did 1st fight leading upto his KD over Ruiz. He was doing well -then did what a champ is supposed to do- go for the kill -that was where doo-doo hit the fan. Ruiz didn't get that opportunity 2nd time because AJ went for the win not the KO, let alone go for the kill. He didn't even want to close the show big.

Even if Ruiz came in at his regular weight there was no guaranteed win. Cause he didn't break thru a porous defense to win 1st time. He didn't dictate the pace of the fight 1st time. He took advantage of what he does best: throw them quick Bee's because AJ was there to receive them.
AJ 2nd time didn't offer him an opening. Clinched when in close. Won on points. If they fought 4x & AJ dropped him in each one...IMO he wouldn't go for the kill -like 1st fight. Thats how he ended up handing over all those belts!

 

Fury and Ortiz both top 5 heavys ones p4p while Ortiz was on the cusp of p4p status had he beat wilder and both were undefeated as opposed to losing like Ruiz got beat so why lie and tell the truth because you're overrating Joshua for the same reason people overrated Ruiz and that's because of the parker fight yet weak ass hughie proved how all them are overrated and all are levels below so quit lying and get off Joshua nuts cause he ain't beat nobody and he sure ain't beat no real champion dude was gifted a title after almost getting knocked by old Grandpa wlad hahaha
