Not a very good fight here. Molina has some power and will come to win but he probably gets run over and stopped fairly early.

For a fighter with only 17 fights, Molina wouldn't be too bad of a selection. He's probably close, but not quite at, the level of guys like Martin, Breazele, and Whyte.

Problem is Joshua now has a title and already had one fight considered an easy type of defense( I think Brezeale is a bit better than an easy defense though). For a titlist making his second defense this is a weak fight.

December 10 is going to be a busy day for boxing.

Well, at least we'll get to see the "gloves are off" with Johnny Nelson as host if the fight is made.

Surprised he was ranked. He beat that Mansour guy, and that's it. A gift win over Fred Kassi.
Molina's credentials seem at least as "good".

The only AJ opponent who perhaps deserved a top 10 ranking, imo, was Martin, due to a somewhat flukey win over a borderline top 10 (Glazkhov).

But as someone said, if you ignore the promotional hype and the bullsh!t "world title", AJ is fairly judged as a prospect with 17-0 record, and these opponents aren't bad at all for a fighter at his stage.

IMO, Molina isn't a step down from Breazeale but he's apparently not a step up.

Why? Molina is not ranked in the top ten and has been stopped 3 times already?

What's the point? I guess to fill a stadium in what will look like a sparring session, then argue if he did better vs. Wilder.

    Very disappointing...

    That would be Candyland's.

WTF, heavyweight boxing has become a game of listing bigger names to the press, then settling in on a fringe contender type....the type champions beat well before they should get title shots.

Joshua may be talented but he's on the fast-track to becoming the next Wilder.

Pulev, Povetkin, Ortiz, or Browne would have been better choices.

Molina? He was beaten by a shot Arreola and stopped two other times with over rated power.
It's getting close to the point where I won;t watch this anymore.

We all get it, the talent level is down, but that is no excuse not to fight the best 10 out there.

Joshua was supposed to fight Klitschko. They negotiated for weeks but Klitschko ended up pulling out.
The only fight hearn can make now in the short time is the Molina fight.

Trust me, joshua is not the next wilder. He's one of the only few who is actually willing to fight the best.

The ONLY fighter they could get is Molina? L-O-L. You are one deluded fanboy. There were people saying it was going to be Molina weeks ago even before all the WBA nonsense about them waiting to make a decision. Molina was on the radar from day one.

I'm not going to give him a hard time for this, all things considered. After the Wlad negotiations fell through and with December 10 being so close, it was always going to be hard to get a top opponent.

In the specific timeframe the best fighter they could get is molina. Pulev had no interest in the fight. When hearn confronted him at an event he simply walked off baffled and speechless.

Maybe you're just a deluded hater...
