He did okay but was no klitschko in this departement. He should and most definitely could improve this minor hole in his game untill next time. Prime Joshua will arrive next fight I Believe.
Okay? I thought he was awful in the clinch. I can barely recall a single one where Ruiz didn't explode out of it and put Joshua's glass temples at risk. His footwork was great, his jab was the cleanest I've ever seen from him constantly snapping Andy's head back, his feints were superb and were arguably the biggest factor of the night - massively negating Andy's guard and parrying ability. From a viewpoint of pure pugilism this was Joshua's strongest night by a mile, looked far more assured and comfortable at range than when he did facing Parker. But holy **** he needs to work on actually tying up his man.
