So much respect to be had for "AJ" - last time he had a 50-50 bout was with an old, ex-champion in his last ever bout who was coming off a loss and in Wembley.

And it was the only time.

Finally, by way of mandatory, will Joshua get back in with someone with a pulse, after the hype-detour caused by his cherry-pick gone wrong.

    No problem.
    0 title defenses.
    Fake Covid.
    Kisses men in the ring.
No victories over anyone in the current top 15 other than Wilder.
    PEDs cheat with Nandrolone
    Lied about donating his purse
Sitting on the belt and hasn't fought in 2 years

    Is that better?

Makes more sense winners of Joshua Usyk and Fury Wilder fight. Sooner rather than later.

Otherwise open things up to others ... Joyce etc.

Can't bank on anything Fury Wilder related. Even their October fight is a probably but who knows? Situation.

"its not about the opponent its about the belts" in response to if he wants to fight Fury next, afriad to even mention his name

AJ is a fraud. he is terrified of Fury.

Furu lulling both Wilder and AJ into falae confidence with all these delays

Yup AJ’s the fraud. The man that has spent his career unifying and fighting top challengers. Not the guy who hasn’t made a single title defense, faked a Covid outbreak, and is on his way to fight a man he already beat twice.

Fury v AJ could put the sanctioning bodies out of business if they don't get behind it. If they come through Wilder and Usyk they ARE fighting for the Championship and any body denying that is signing its death warrant.

So AJ tries to make a fight with Fury but he's a fraud. But Fury makes it hard as possible to make the AJ fight, but he the man? Also, if AJ faked Covid to push a fight back you guys would roast him over an open flame. But Fury does it and you ignore it and praise him. Just like you ignored him kissing men in the ring. You ignored him sitting on a belt for two years. You ignored his fake depression and drugs, drinking and mental health phoniness.

    Wait!!!!!

    What?

Let me get this straight ... the guy who won't sign to fight ANYONE unless he gets a rematch clause in writing first -- so no one else can try to win all his belts before he gets a chance to win them back -- doesn't care about belts now?

That's the story today? Ha HA HAHHAAAHAAAHHAA HIIIIILARIOUS!!!!

    That's so cute. (LOL)

Funniest joke I've heard all day.

Then why did they delay signing the Usyk bout until Usyk agreed to a rematch clause? Most mandatories don't have rematch clauses. Joshua's team insisted on one.

If belts don't matter, why did they do that?

If Usyk wins all the belts, Joshua is FREED of all his belts. He won't even have to vacate them. Usyk will just take them off his hands for him.

Does nobody ask a follow up question like - then why do you care about rematch clauses? Why do you keep fighting mandatories?

Do people really believe this stuff? Good Lord.

When Joshua decides he doesn't care about rematch clauses ... because winning and losing belts don't matter ... and he starts dropping belts ... give me a nudge.

Until then, he's a goddamn liar. Plain and simple.

We are at a stage where the belts mean nothing. Fury vs AJ with no titles on the line would be the biggest fight in years.

You wouldn't need the belts at this point as it would be indisputable who the number 1 and 2 in the division were. Well even more than it already is.

Yeah you'd almost say it was a decent ploy to avoid paying sanctioning fees. Who would argue that Fury and Joshua aren't the top 2 in the division if they come through Wilder (again) and Usyk?

The belts would essentially become meaningless if they both dropped them.

Until they give up all their belts ... and fight to a boring 12-round draw.

And nobody wants to pay big money to see those two guys fighting a boring 12-round draw a second time.

While a bunch of guys they never fought - like Hrgovic, Ajagba, Joyce and Yoka - win all the belts. (LOL)

I'll always remember Mike McCallum's interview after he vacated his WBA Middleweight Title days before his unification with Toney, and then their fight ended in a draw.

Toney still had his title. McCallum had nothing. And McCallum just stood there saying I gave up my belt for this? (Or something to that extent.)

It never works out like they think.

Joshua vs Fury will probably never happen, luckily there are fighters out there who are willing to fight everyone, so good fights will definitely not be missing...

Yeah that’s more readable but not sure how it’s relevant to the idea of Joshua dropping belts being unlikely because of his commercial backing.
