IBF has mandatory problem soon - undisputed champion will have to defend his IBF belt, no rematch or he is stripped. No champion will risk his title against Hrgovic, and rematch bring money, so IBF will be stripped no matter who wins undisputed. IBF rankings as it stands: Filip Hrgovic - fighting no name on December 23, warm up fight, but against who? Otto Wallin - risking his spot to grab money from Anthony Joshua (Dec 23) Anthony Joshua - taking away Wallins spot (what everyone expects) Parker - fightng WIlder (Dec 23) Anderson If by going by boxingforum24 expectations everything goes as planned (I dont belive Wilder beats Parker btw), the rankings shoudl be something like this: Filip Hrgovic - must fight number 2 Anthony Joshua - says he is gonna fight Miller if wins against Dubois (conformed by Hearn) Parker if he wins (but if Wilder wins, he was dropped by IBF, will they reinstate him) Anderson So if nothing goes to plan and everything goes to plan, Hrgovic will fight for vacant IBF belt against Parker, Wilder or Anderson? Because they are next in line, ofcourse, I know for a fact that Wilder wont accept that, never, so that leaves these contenders.
This means that Hrgovic should consider the possibility of retirement and dedicate himself to something else, it is not worth constantly risking your health for ridiculous sums of money...
Next level b. c. It's going to be Hrgovic vs AJ. Hearn is chatting shyte as usual. And that being said where have AJ or Hearn says they won't fight Hrgovic for the IBF when they strip either Usyk or Fury???
Hearn is a sweet-talker and a liar, and Hrgovic always falls for his traps and false promises, Miller brings money and will get a chance to fight, even if he snorts cocaine at the press conference...
The thing that makes most sense if Fury beats Usyk is Fury vs Joshua next. And Wilder vs Hrgovic. Fury and Joshua are by far the biggest money makers and the most recognizable by fans worldwide. It’s the best fight for Fury because then he did fight everyone for legacy. And it will make him the most money. It’s best for Joshua because he will fight for 3 belts. And it will make him the most money. It’s best for Wilder because he can win the IBF title. And then he can go back to what he was doing. Viciously knocking out B and C level fighters. And it’s good for Hrgovic because he gets a title shot. Everybody happy.
Hrgovic will just continue to be left in the cold as usual, end up fighting another Aussie after De Mori, probably Faiga Opelu or something as his career continues to stagnate.
