For Joshua Hrgovic is a very logical fight, though risky. With a belt he'd put himself in position for challenging the winner of Usyk-Fury. Don't know how keen Hrgovic will be, though. Joshua will be big money but also a massive risk looking at last night performance. He'd might want to try and wait it out until he gets a shot at undisputed, but IBF could make Joshua mandatory and take the decision away from him. AJ is ranked highly with IBF and with him as mandatory they get big money fights either way. EDIT: AJ was nr 3 with IBF before last night, behind Wallin and Hrgovic. So now he must be right behind Hrgovic and the natural mandatory once the winner of Usyk-Fury is stripped. So Hrgovic-Joshua fot the vacant IBF title makes all the sense in the world.
I would actually like to see Joshua/Hrgovic now Wilder's goose has been cooked. Yeah Hrgovic has been luck lustre of late but he's a dangerous opponent and I wouldn't begrudge him a good payday given the way so many fighters have ducked him. I think it could be a fun fight and Hrgovic shouldn't be underestimated, he can punch and is a stiffer test than what Joshua has been facing lately.
I think WBC is looking to make Parker mando Which means Parker vs AJ may be for that WBC mando position
Hrgovic is a very complete fighter. He has size, skills, power, chin, stamina and keeps going even when things aren't going his way. So he's a big risk for anyone in the division, but also a natural next step for Joshua once he gets the IBF title. Joshua should be his first mandatory, so it's a fight that's a bit hard to not see happening. But, hey, this is boxing after all.
