Both Joshua or Zhang could KO the other on the night. It’s HW boxing, there won’t be the same winner if they fight 100 times. But I’d pick Joshua if I had too. Always thought Joyce would get beat by the first decent HW he faced and Zhang was that guy, does that translate into Zhang beating a former HW unified champion who has already beaten him in the amateurs though? Not sure. Would like to see it.

Joshua gets knocked out. Zhang will come right at him and Joshua is a mental midget with a Glass Jaw. He wouldn’t be able to take the pressure mentally or physically.

I don't think Joshua's whiskers could stand up to Big Bang - and Joshua does not like getting clipped at all, visibly.

AJ's best plan would be similar to the Ruiz rematch, but i'm not sure that Zhang wouldn't catch him with something sneaky.

That said, Joshua is definitely more elusive and defensively responsible than Joyce, and Zhang does not have the footwork of Usyk to make the angles to land consistently.

I'd like to see how it played out!

What's the evidence that AJ has a glass chin? Silly mantra with not a lot to back it up with. He's been in there with some hard-hitting HWs. He went down against Wlad - man with brutal 1 punch KO power in both hands. He has one TKO loss from a great equilibrium shot, but it's not like he was KTFO, he was mostly coherent. His chin is just fine.
Even the granite chin HWs have been floored or have been KOed - Ali, Tyson, Foreman, Marciano, Joyce, Parker, Vitali etc etc. Does anybody question their chins? This is HW ffs.
He lost to two men - one avenged and the other a decision loss to P4P ATG technical prodigy.
AJ was great for the division - great resume(losses included), entertaining KO artist and an amateur pedigree that has aged well(KOed Joyce in first round iirc, floored Zhang, beat Wallin etc.)
Meanwhile nobody calls into question Wilder or Fury, who've been rocked and floored numerous times.

Taking into consideration AJs more cautious approach recently, I say Zhang has the beating of Joshua.

But anyway Zhang has zero reason to face AJ, unless it was for a mega purse.

Joshua has been underrated here to no end. BUT, that Joshua had confidence. The gunshy version of Joshua now is different.

Exactly what the f is everyone talking about re Joshua’s chin?

He dropped Ruiz with the first combo landed, then landed a huge right hand on him. He then thought Ruiz was there for taking (which was a fair assumption), he went swinging for the fences with no care for defence (to shine on his US debut) and got clocked unexpectedly on the right spot of the head. That shot messed him up for the whole fight. After that his legs were gone and he was getting dropped by scuffing punches. This is not to mention Ruiz aiming and landing near the back of AJs head

Other than this , AJ has shown a decent mandible. Took and recovered from Wlads right hand and Whytes vicious left hook…the average boxing fan has poor observational skills I’ve learnt

Joshua recently got busted up by Helenius and went 12 unimpressive rounds vs Franklin.

I just don't think mentally Joshua is in a strong enough place to beat Zhang at this point in his career.

Maybe Joshua pre Ruiz would have a good chance but the Joshua now ? Once he gets hit hard I think he will go to a dark place and I'm not sure if hes mentally strong enough to over come it.

Although saying that do we know how good Zhang's chin is ? How many big punchers has he fought ?

Zhang will not make the mistake that Joyce did and that is to take a risky fight whilst already sitting as WBO mandatory,no way will Zhang's team/advisors let him anywhere near Joshua or anybody else for that matter. I still can’t believe that Joyce’s team did what they did. Fwiw at this moment in there careers Zhang v Joshua would be a good match up as even though Joshua has been very hesitant of late since his Usyk losses,Zhang on the other hand has looked very good with his two stoppage wins over Joyce, however Joyce is so painfully slow and predictable that he’s in all probability made Zhang look better than he actually is.

Plus what does a good chin help you against Zhang anyway? Didn't help Joyce a whole lot. I don't care who you are, that hook that folded Joe like a lawn chair will send anyone to the shadow realm period.

Well he did his nose was bloody and it was an unimpressive performance against a shot almost 40 year old who had a weeks notice and was stopped in 2 of his last 5 fights.

    Times change.

Just because Jones beat Hopkins earlier in his career didn't mean anything when they fought a rematch years later. One guy was damaged and one guy gained more experience. The result was a schooling by Hopkins.

AJ is not the same fighter as he was earlier in his career. He's more cautious and he doesn't react well to getting hit. Zhang has gotten better and more powerful over the years and he's full of confidence.

I believe Zhang would knock AJ out.

Zhang would obliterate Joshua as well, I have no doubts about that.
