I didn’t realise Zhang was with QB. That is a shame. I don’t read too much in to the AM fights, they mean nothing now. I don’t think AJ is scared of anyone, I think he takes any fight. I think his handlers are quite careful at this point given he has had a few losses. Same with Wilder. He would fight whoever but his handlers know his limitations and try and pick based on risk reward
20 Aug 2022 was when Usyk schooled Joshua for a 2nd time effectively making him the new Chisora best case scenario for the purposes of DAZN UK PPV Loot accumulation. In the previous 16 months, he has fought 2 no hopers, zero risk opponents, zero threat Franklin and Helenius. That tells me all I need to know about his objectives in boxing wasting another 16 months of his career. Any live threat walks through Joshua.
Forget about amateurs. Matchroom would never put Joshua in with Zhang. Zhang would smash Joshua to bits
Anybody else watching this Louis Theroux interview on BBC2? Big black 6 spliff AJ has mentally gone, baby! Total cringe
I'm sure Joshua has a lot more respect for the 40 year old man who obliterated Joyce twice, than you do. As for the amateurs, Joshua also lost to Majidov, Nistor and Whyte. So what? Different game and all over 10 years ago. Could hardly be less relevant.
I know why there has not been 'An Evening with Anthony Joshua' events Would be like having a pint in a library
I've heard from multiple sources that Eddie Hearn is well aware that AJ is done. This is probably why Eddie Hearn is currently looking for a replacement for AJ.
Never ever thought he was any better than Danny Williams and he was always going to be done when facing real contenders. Wilder would have obliterated him anytime from 2015 hence why he was ducked. His only goal left is a PPV Loot snatch against the very limited Dillian Whyte.
It would always have been an interesting fight but for how much longer? We have been fed b.s. about it happening for 6 or 8 years now and it never seemed less likely to happen than right now. As good a liar as Hearn is, he never sounded convincing when he was claiming Joshua would beat Wilder and I suspect that is a big part of the reason why the fight has never happened.
