The promoter makes a speech explaining the goal is to make Niagara Falls a hotbed of the sport in the province and break Toronto's monopoly. He tells a story of main eventer Josh Lupia rising up the ranks starting in 2017, going 5-0 (5) before sustaining a near career-ending injury and being told he'd never box again in 2020, only to return in 2022 and start his current 11-0 (9) run. He wants the whole Niagara region to rally and follow Lupia's example.

Janek Sandhu vs. Ian Anthony Randolph, 6 rounds @ super welterweight

 

TKO1 for Sandhu, who looks a few divisions larger than Randolph.

 

Drake Olchowecki vs. Gregory Miller III, 4 rounds @ light heavyweight

 

This was a late addition onto the card to replace another bout. There is no real A-side; they both have terrible records. Olchowecki counts as the "local" guy, from Hamilton, ON. He is 1-4-1, and 43 year old Jamaican southpaw Miller is 3-12. In their rivalry so far they're locked up 1 apiece. (defeating Miller in the rematch is Olchowecki's only win to date; stopping Olchowecki had been Miller's first)

 

Cagey opener, hard to split. Neither man really landed anything.

 

Miller apparently came in 7lbs heavy and had to "donate" some of his purse to his opponent.

 

This... is garbage.

At least the Puerto Rican card has been cruising along with KO1s thus far.

 

Commentators think Miller is the clear winner heading into the fourth & final round (with his switch-hitting, trap-setting, and harder shots), but joke about how they're prepared for Olchowecki to get a gift draw and force a tiebreaker fourth match. Dear lord please no.
