Currently, Anthony Joshua is at roughly the same point in his career that Lennox Lewis was in 1994. I was wondering how people think their 5 best opponents compare (Lewis as of March 1994). This is my personal take on the best men they have faced, others are welcome to disagree
    1.Wladimir Klitschko vs Tony Tucker
    2.Joseph Parker vs Donovan Ruddock
    3.Dominic Breazeale vs Frank Bruno
    4.Dillian Whyte vs Gary Mason
    5.Carlos Takam vs Phil Jackson

Wlad wins vs Tucker. Both clearly past their prime, and Tucker was never a hard hitter. Wlad by decision.

Parker vs Ruddock. Don't know, Parker isn't a hard hitter, but surely he can take a punch. This fight probably lasts 12 rounds.

Bruno stops game Breazeale who seriously lacks skills.

Mason vs Whyte. Well, Mason had better skills and better chin of the two. Who would've won? Don't know, Whyte has some advantages too.

Takam beats Phil Jackson without any problems.

    Is this even serious?

Joshua has two decent opponents to date, while Lewis has an all time great resume.

Shall we revisit this in ten years time?

To be fair he's measuring Lewis at an earlier point in time that he believes matched current Joshua.

True. Most of Lewis' best wins came after 29, and AJ is currently only 28 so it's fair to compare their achievements at the same age.

1.Wladimir Klitschko vs Tony Tucker - Wlad by UD.

2.Joseph Parker vs Donovan Ruddock - Ruddick late KO, OK Parker took Joshua the distance but Ruddock hit harder than Joshua IMO, esp with the left hook.

3.Dominic Breazeale vs Frank Bruno - Bruno mid round KO/TKO, Breazeale is nothing more than medicore.

4.Dillian Whyte vs Gary Mason - Mason UD or late stoppage, again Whyte is very average.

5.Carlos Takam vs Phil Jackson - Takam UD.

Good post. I think Tucker in the 80s was a good hitter, but was past it in 1993. I see Wlad maybe stopping him.

Parker has better skills and chin than Ruddock, better mobility, Ruddocks power not that much of a factor here. Parker wins a decision or late stoppage.
Bruno knocks Breazeale out, same for Mason.
    Takam beats Jackson.

You think Joshua will still be boxing in 10 years time at 38/39 years old?

I think that it is a possibility,

He would have the style and physical attributes to do it.

I give Tucker a 1% chance of beating Wladimir.
