He is literally controlled and micro-managed by a corporation. Without that constant pressure it would be a very different level of intensity, just as if people were not made to go to school and sit exams few would study hard. There's also a very common genetic thread to the people controlling his every movement and shaping his entire existence. You haven't noticed? I'll give you a clue, this isn't happening in Nigeria. Even Wilder was smart enough to work it out and that says something.

The other element is he has absolutely nothing else he can do well but sport because he has zero intelligence or genuine talent. Seriously, what else could he possibly do? You might as well say criminals have such a noble work ethic because they pump iron all day given they are dumb animals and pressured to look tough so they don't get raped as much. In terms of his personality we clearly don't see the real him, he much like Lennox Lewis has a different persona for the media that he does for those close to him in his real life and he keeps much of his personal life private which why his twitter and instagram looks more like an advert for himself and his brands than a personal social media account.

Personally I don't care about his personality. I watch boxing for the boxing and follow certain boxers because of how they box not because of their persona. If you want to follow personalities I suggest you go watch some reality TV show like the Kardashians or something similar, I get the entertaining I'm looking for the boxing not the personality.

And yes Joshua's professionalism and the work he puts in the gym is admirable, he doesn't just train hard either he trains smart. He has a good trainer in McCracken and we've seen him make clear improvement almost with every fight which is indicative of the work he puts in.

 

He has lateral movement in the gym too (2nd video) and yet gets back on his train tracks in the ring.
