Somewhat well known, non-puncher and extremely defensive especially when stepping up. It’s actually a very good warm up fight for AJ which he could then use as preparation for a bigger fight in the summer
Joshua is only going to face knockovers such as D. Whyte from Brixton or Steve Drago Robinson in a Norf v South Battle.
If anyone, I'd want to see him fight Wardley. MR could easily spin it as a stadium fight for the causals, plus it would give Fabio a well earned payday. Outside of Tyson Fury, I don't see who else is left to give him a fight that any one would be interested in.
Problem with older ex paper champions is they don't want any live tests such as Wardley, Itauma or a Dubois rematch. Joshua does not have time to waste at his age and needs to roll the dice with his next opponent. A win over any of the three above would get him back in the mix and a risk worth taking. I predict he is only continuing for the loot against the faded old fighters such as Whyte or Fury.
More chance of Tyson Fury – and that’s virtually zero. No doubt it’ll be another ‘rebuild’ for a bloke who’s 36. Still learning on the job Koogz. He’ll knock out someone like Gerald Washington and it’ll be the best he’s ever been, love another crack at Usyk, 3 time world champion etc.
Not many interesting fights left for him. His main fan base is gone after seeing his ‘invincibility’ pummelled out of him numerous times. Pictures of a stadium for a Joshua fight on Insta ain’t quite the ‘flex’ it used to be. I can’t see him fighting Dubois, Wardley, Usyk etc so one thing is for sure he’s only carrying on for the money because he’d have retired otherwise. What’s the point?
Yes I suspect he will be competing on the seniors circuit only. We won't see him facing many if any fighters who are under 35.
