Chin I see as a weakness as thats what drops him. Heart gets you back up. Chin is not his strength and can be his undoing. His opponents will see that as a weakness IMO. We'll they'll have to wont they.

No with just about everything ...his one weakness is inexperiance.

you claim weak defense...he has taken limited shots due to his ability to step back and or slip/duck under shots along with a catch /counter style,he doesnt need alot of head movement.

how does he have bad stamina gaging him going past 7 once and getting a k.o in 11....doesnt make sense!

Hand speed? he threw a 17 punch combo against Butlin.....?????He throws VERY fast 3/5 combos on average inside close quarters at 240 plus is that slow???His jab is FAST and his leading right?Watch the Dillain Whyte fight in the 7th.

Movement...well just study actually fights of his tell me how poor his movements are of ring cutting /distance ..gaging distance outside opposition shots while still maintaining his own distance of firing back?He produces and creates great off line angles for himself. And is also a great pick off jabber even against Klitchko.

Biggest weakness is his achilles... stamina. Big armed boy with all that pop, he visibly gasses quick.

Chin seems shaky, for sure. Especially when you factor there has always been industry rumors that he hits the mat quite a bit for the world class.

Considering AJ is a heavyweight, I think it is unfair to critique his chin too hard. Would Wilder or Parker have gotten up from the Wlad right hand? Would they have made it out of round 5 or 6?

I don't see all those weaknesses you listed, the only weakness I see, like someone already mentioned, is inexperience.

AJ fought hard for 11 rds, picked himself up after being dropped (not many heavyweights have after been caught be Wlad), threw a lot of punched and used a lot of movements.

His CHIN is a HUGE strength of his, you can't show your true heart without the great chin that gives you the chance to show what you really have. We have too many fans that don't truly understand the vast difference between the chin, heart and will.

They are all separate attributes. There very few fighters in the history of the sport that would be able to not oh survive round 5 (out on girls feet for over a full minute) and that full straight right, the single hardest shot the single hardest punched can deliver AND land 100% cleanly on a already weakens fighter.

For any fighter to survive those shots without going nite nite has a GREAT chin, that's fact. His heart and will is what let him continue, survive and come back to destroy him very late

He doesn't have ALL those "weaknesses" inexperience is truly his only weakness and Wlad FIXED that in one fight

I think that we've seen about 60% of what Joshua will ultimately offer across the breadth of all of his numerous strengths. I'd say that the Wlad fight may have fixed 70% of the inexperience weakness. It was the near-perfect outcome for Joshua for long-term purposes, much better than had he gotten Wlad out in the 5th. Joshua has some more "inexperience" that he needs to get out of his system. Fighting Ortiz will eliminate another 15% and so on with the rest that will result from later quality fights.

Correct, and I think people blow that Dillian Whyte fight way out of proportion as far as how hurt he was. Sure he got buzzed, he walked right into a shot, but he wasn't seriously hurt. He went back to the ropes and covered up and gathered himself, was fine about 30 seconds later.

As to the weaknesses I listed:
Stamina- I don't think he threw that many punches in rd. 5 that lead to putting Wlad down, yet he was visibly gassed shortly after. Or maybe he was hurt, but it looked like he was very gassed right after he knocked him down, and there was little activity in rounds 1-4 leading up to that. He needs to improve that. Or maybe that's just how it is with a big, hulking guy, a lot of energy needed to move that mass around. He does have a good second wind ability though as he showed, that I guess plays into overall stamina.

Movement- He is good at subtle movement with his feet, but he needs to work more on things like moving off the ropes and lateral movement.

Defense- He is obviously susceptible to right hands, as Wlad showed. Rounds 2-6 Wlad nailed him as soon as the round started with a right hand, and many more to follow. Luckily Wlad faded later and didn't' throw it as much, and AJ did a good job ducking shots later in the fight also. But I think he needs to improve by keeping his gloves higher and picking off shots as they come in. Some head movement there but should use that more, the way Tyson did.

You put very well his strengths,

but those 4 are not weaknesses really.
I mean, his stamina, movement, handspeed are actually pretty good for SHW who carries 250 lbs. He's not Roy Jones in terms of handspeed surely, but that's just impossible with his stature.

His defense is pretty good IMO, I haven't seen many SHWs ducking and slipping quick punches like AJ did, and he did it when he was hurt after the KD!

Actually AJ has better stamina and defense than I thought before this fight. He just hadn't chance to prove it in his earlier fights against weaker opponents.
