Sure. I agree with you and in theory Hearn's/Joshua's side were fairly reasonable, but unfortunately it's looking like to make these really big fights happen, short of forcing the likes of Wilder to make the fight at gunpoint, some significant compromises might need to be made. And, I take your point that the Miller situation is what it is and the fight made sense at the time.

Bottom line is Wilder's got that WBC belt. Others are thinking he's an easier option and anyone with that belt can go for the mega unification that Wilder seems intent on avoiding. It might be a case that for Joshua to get that final belt the financial incentive(s) will need to be more than (his side thinks is deserved), for either Wilder himself or his future mandatory challengers. It's a pity it has to work like this, but until Joshua claws that belt away from whoever has it, he's going to have fighters being able to by-pass him to target that other option.

I'd be happy to see Joshua defend against CWs if non of the fatties and cowards at HW are willing to step up to the plate. CWs can bang, have legit skills, and won't ask for the earth for a chance at the HW title.

He should just ignore them all and keep fighting his mandatories, act like a true champion and let them come for him. Dont send Ortiz another offer and let him spend the rest of his career feeling an idiot, same for Whye and any other boxer who thinks they can act like the champions without being a champion.
