    Collazo got that big Khan fight on the Mayweather undercard. Berto went on to fight Mayweather. And Lopez got a career high payday with the Alvarez beatdown.

    Agree with you on all except Salido. Hard for me to call a multiple time champion a journeyman or a gatekeeper.

    Gate keepers to me are fighters who are as they described the gate keepers to world class. They can compete at a world class level but won't beat the top world class fighters, they'll expose the pretenders and give all but the best tough fights even when losing. Arreola, Chisora for example were gate keepers, they lost every time they stepped up to championship level but could beat other pretenders and gate keepers.

    Journeymen are a lower level, they'll lose to the pretender prospects and contenders. They are used to pad fighters records, they are never meant to win against anyone decent. They'll fight on short notice, have a significant number of losses, they are a staple of boxing and are the foundations of this sport.

    I concede! It seems he won championship as the underdog? Just my opinion it seems he was picked as a tough competitor, but one to be beaten. I thought that was how he won titles.
    They picked the wrong hombre! Definately not a journeyman, but the fighter that Up N comers like one Loma fought on his debut?
    Could Salido have roughed him up -letting him know "Son you don't choose me as a debut!"
