Notice that it is most of the Roy Jones fanboys who are predicting Johnson to KO Froch :rofl:patsch

I guess because he shattered Roy's fragile Glass Jaw they think he is a power puncher. :rofl:patsch

Froch has an Iron Chin and Johnson is feather fisted.

Glenn Johnson also stopped Allan Green in his last fight let's remember.

Be reasonable. Johnson has reasonably heavy hands. It is an absolute joke to describe him as feather fisted :verysad

You're a hater is what you are.

Nobody is building Froch up too much, a lot of fans, including me, say this could well be a brutal, close fight.

Froch said Johnson won't win a round? No he didn't, he said he will either win every round OR get dragged into a brawl before saying he is happy either way.

Anything other than a complete domination will be viewed as a poor performance? This is why you're a hater, because you're making an excuse to carry on hating someone even if they win

:lol: Exactly. They think because he KO'd Jones and hypejob Green that it means something in this fight. Froch will destroy him. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Johnson's Chin will get Shattered, and as we all know; once they crack they don't come back.:deal

No I'm not (I agreed he beat Dirrell & give him credit for his achievements). I'm just pointing out that some people are putting too much pressure on Froch (see quotes below). Johnson isn't an easy fight for anyone

Making excuses to keep hating if Froch wins? Don't need excuses as I don't hate him. But even if he does win (I have him a very slight favourite), he's the favourite, he's 10 years younger, according to people on ESB his opponent is weight drained & a journeyman.

Ok, hater was maybe a bit strong.

But you're wrong in saying that Froch fans think he is going to have an easy night because Johson is a journeyman and looks weight drained. Anyone can quote a few loose cannon's and claim X fighters fans are delusional. All of the pundits in Britain are saying this will be a very tough fight and he won't shut Johnson out like he did Abraham, because Johnson is too good to let that happen.

Ummmmm,i see you've quoted me twice in this post, thing is though,if you trawl back through any posts of mine on this fight,at NO point have i dismissed Johnson,or said Froch is a certain winner.
But as the old saying goe's "say what you see" Johnson looks dry,his muscle definition, and skin tone confirm this.No doubt he'll have filled out and rehydrated by now,but at the weigh in he was emaciated compared to when he fought at 175.

Fair enough. When I said Froch fans, I didn't mean all of them & I certainly didn't mean the pundits but on this forum I've seen a lot people not just claiming Froch will win (no problem with that) but claiming he will destroy Johnson easily. OK I should expect some OTT responses this is ESB after all. I don't care who wins I just think it makes more sense to give the opposition some respect because if you don't I don't think you can give credit for beating him.
Glad thats all cleared up because although I don't rate him as highly as some, I do respect Carl Froch :good

Just a note on G Johnsons SMW career -
In 12 SMW fights Johnson has lost 6 of them.
Johnson has lost at SMW to -

M Sosa who had 5 losses and 2 draws, and lost his next 2 fights after beating Johnson
Kiwanuka who had 3 losses and 2 draws, had lost his last 2 fights coming into his fight with Johnson and his fight after Johnson
Ottke 16-0 who in fairness was an outstanding SMW boxer
Vanderpool 27-1 who lost his next fight, but in fairness that was at MW to Hopkins and Vanderpool had a good run after
Branco 38-4-2 who was a world class SMW and became WBA LHW champ
Sheika who was 19-1 and lost his next fight, though in fairness that was to Calzaghe.

The SMWs that Johnson has managed to beat
Campas 3-20-4 coming off of only 2 losses and won his next fight
Watson 24-16-1, Johnson was his last fight
Renteria 9-23-5 coming in, whos last 10 fight record before facing Johnson was 0-8-2
Zimmerman 15-2-0 coming in, who had lost his previous fight and the one after
A Green 29-2-0 coming in and Johnsons biggest SMW victory

Its not impressive now is it. Please spare me the robbery talk.
If any rated SMW losses to Johnson it wont look good on their resume

To think beating Green was all Johnson had to do to become a Ring rated SMW in todays ratings

It is my opinion that those odds are not an accurate reflection of the potential closeness of this fight.
