    Jersey Joe Walcott made quite the turnaround after a 4 year retirement ended to look much better than he did before, and to go down as something special.

    BTW why boxrec took official weights off? Was quite easy to understend when fighter moved up and ect.

    Robinson and Salido are classic examples.

    Although they didn't become champions (well yet anyway), Grady Brewer, Gabriel Rosado and Carlos Molina. All at the same weight class too.

    I've seen some journeymen become gatekeepers, and some gatekeeper become contenders or even titlists, but I think we may be stretching it calling some of these guys journeymen.

    I mean, Mike Sheppard and Jason Gavern are HW journeymen. Monte Barrett is a gatekeeper. He'd beat a journeyman 9/10.

    Anyone agree???:think

    I'd say Carlos Baldomir qualifies here. He's a journeyman who mananged to do quite well for himself after a long time. Beating Gatti, Judah, got himself a Mayweather fight, then finally finished up at gatekeeper status.

    Not bad id say.
