You've made some decent points in this thread. The above two are hopeless.

First, you know damn well that Leonard's career was shortened and abridged by his eye injury. It makes zero sense to compare Floyd's inability/ unwillingness to clean out one single weight class apart from 130 to Ray's career post-147. That is, unless you actually want to argue that Floyd's hands were so brittle that a higher volume of difficult fights in his natural weight classes would have been physically impossible for him to endure. Which might actually be a defensible argument.

Second, you admitted earlier that the caliber of opposition in Floyd's era and weight classes has been inferior to previous generations. So if he wasn't willing, for the reasonable financial reasons you bring up, to fight this era's "titlists" as you call them, who the hell DID he fight? From the end of 2002 to the end of 2005, Sosa, N'dou, Bruseles, Gatti, Mitchell. None of whom accomplished anything of note after Floyd was done with them, and none of whom would approach P4P status.

What you have with Floyd is a fighter who parlayed his extreme natural gifts with the economics of his time and network support into gargantuan, low risk paydays. He may end up being one of boxing's historically biggest earners. If he invests wisely, his children's children's children should never have to work a day in their lives. This strategy has also ensured that his overall resume in the ring will remain laughable compared to the ATGs whose physical talent he shared.

I personally wouldn't call these choices "disgraceful". They were there to be made, and most of us would have made the exact same ones in Floyd's shoes. But if they became the rule in boxing instead of the exception (which of course they never will), the sport would suffer badly.

I wouldn't be suprised to see Corrales, Hatton and Castillo all in the hall of fame to be honest. Hatton easily. His victories over Kostya Tszyu, Castillo and his multiple world titles in two divisions make this a certainty IMO.

    Yeeaaahhhhhh...K:lol:

Floyd never cleaned ANY divison and DUCKED Spadafora and OTHERS. Does that sound like a guy who would have fought Benitez, Duran TWICE, and PRIME UNDEFEATED HEARNS amongst 11 others in 3 YEARS??:huh Not in heaven, hell, or multiple universes:nono :nono :yikes

Floyd should have cleaned 35 and if it was as you say? Floyd should never have offered, LET ALONE 3 and a half years + and 3 days into REHAB with Spadafora. Go watch the vids! PBF got GOT and talked too much ****. True Colors?:yep Got PBF fans singing Cyndi Laupner:good

Again, THE HISTORY OF CHAMPIONS IS ABOVE WHAT FLOYD HAS DONE!! Save you're BULL****:yep Floyd fights DLH AND Hatton 2 and not Cotto??...............:rofl

See SRL FOUGHT HEARNS!! They pushed it back 9 months!! Floyd by DLH Hatton 2's could be 2+ YEARS. Given the detached Retina and continual problems with the eye? Its half understandable that SRL pushed out and didnt want the rematch. Aside? Years later on CAMERA sitting one seat away from Thommy admitted he got beat the second time.

Its a matter of CHARACTER and Floyds seriously LACKING. You can play numbers and twisting games ALL YA LIKE! The truth will STILL SHOW:good How long would it take Floyd if he suffered a detached Retina vs Cotto before he fought THE HIGHLY DEMANDED REMATCH to a truly Legendary night, fight, and performances??:huh

Think we'll be waiting LONG??:think :think :think

    :rofl

pryor had all of 14 fights when duran started fighting at 147 in 1978, and didnt win a title until 1980. how can you fight someone who is not even on the map at a weight that you never fought.

Get over it Amsterdam. If he's so pathetic why do you waste so much of your time bitching and moaning about him?

You're saying these things like its a new idea, something no one else has said before. You're just saying the same thing Floyd haters say 1000 times a day on this forum. The Floyd haters already agree with you and already have posted and read the **** you posted a thousand times before, and people who don't hate Floyd disagree, won't change their minds, and have already heard the same **** over and over again.

I have a challenge to the Floyd haters:

Tell us something original about why Floyd sucks so bad. Since all you do on this forum is think of ways to complain about Floyd, I think you should try posting something NEW about why Floyd is so bad. If you can't think of anything that hasn't already been posted in regard to bitching and moaning about Floyd. THEN DON'T POST ANYTHING. STOP REPEATING YOURSELVES YOU UNORIGINAL ****S.

And why do people keep talking about Floyd and Cotto like Floyd has already retired or moved up in weight, and passed Cotto by? FLOYD HAS SAID HE WOULD LIKE TO FIGHT MIGUEL COTTO.

YOU CANNOT GIVE FLOYD **** FOR WANTING TO FIGHT HATTON OR DE LA HOYA RATHER THAN COTTO BECAUSE COTTO HAS SAID THE SAME THING - HE WOULD RATHER FIGHT OSCAR. Why? MORE MONEY OBVIOUSLY.

Boxing is his job. He wants to get money, what a strange thing. He owe anybody anything. He's fighting for big money and people are watching and paying him that money. If he doesn't deserve these big money fights, and to be considered the P4P number one..... then don't buy his fights!

Oh wait, it doesn't matter, because he's still going to make millions because the vast majority of boxing fans disagree with you.

How do you look in the mirror with that mentality? Floyds made money and he's in position to not only make LOTS more but earn the real RESPECT that REAL Champions have set the bar on.

Floyds act us UP!!! Frankly the way he's approached/avoided top opponents is DISGUSTING:good

I hope for the sake of HIM and the SPORT he doesnt finish that way:yep
