Floyd's great, theres no doubt about it that he's great, but unless he starts facing top welterweights and stops with this handpicking, then yeah he could turn into the most disgraceful #1 p4p even with his talent

    Now there's a list!

And to be fair you could just keep adding to that!

Hearns dismantled Duran, Benitez outclassed him!

Is the whole world gone crazy! Even embarassing and destructive losses are added to resumes as assets

The fighter who lost cannot be P4P#1 by definition

Well, that I'll keep it simple for you and take out the crushing Hearns loss and the respectable Hagler loss (keep in mind that Duran won a handful of rounds).

Duran beat Leonard, Buchanan, De Jesus twice, Barkley, Palomino, Cuevas, Moore, Marcel, Mamby, Ishimatsu, Kobayashi, Viruet twice, and Bizzarro. That's most certainly a better resume that Floyd's. And if you factor in the weight classes, Floyd has won titles from 130-154 (24 pounds). Duran won titles from 135-160 (25 pounds). I'd say Duran holds a clear edge here P4P and H2H.

Are you suggesting that by definition, only undefeated fighters can rank P4P #1 all time?

No, I just try to understand the reasoning for including bad losses.

It can be acceptable for the ATG status (what done to sport), but for P4P status?:nut

Some more for Duran's losses... Look: Judah's resume includes Tszyu, Maywether, Cotto, soon will be Mosely. But all this was either before he accomplished smth OR after he lost almost everything. Duran's losses to Hagler, Benitez, Hearns were after he lost his status of P4P#1 and much of respect. There is NO evidence he would risk without that loss.

you think Roy Jones Jr tried to fight the best and take the best challenges? You can't be serious. He handpicked fighters and then had his Glass Jaw exposed.
