Joy Joyce-the silver Olympic medalist is turning pro according to Bulgarian media. His debut will be in February. He sign up with Eddie Hearn.

Didn't see much of the women's tournament, but wish her a good career.

Didn't see much of the whole boxing tourney this time around actually.

Big Joe could make a splash in the division, but he needs to be brought along quickly.

He came to the sport late and doesn't have youth on his side.

He deserved the gold, reminds me kinda to George Foreman, he tries to walks trough his opponents, has a good punch and a high workrate, will see how he translate that to the pros.

british /european level only / IMO

which is good enough for legacy and money /
just do not see him having the style/power/abilty to be challenging the top 7.

I see the comparison with Foreman, he's pretty basic, just plows forward throwing bombs and trying to break his opponent down.

I was really surprised at how well Joyce did at the Olympics, I didn't give him much of a chance, but after the Dychko fight I was a believer. Shame about the final he deserved the decision but amateur boxing is so corrupt it's a joke.

If he is turning pro it will be interesting to see how he does. Would love to see him rematch Usyk at some point, he's improved since Usyk spanked him in the amateur ranks.

Well, Usyk is at cruiser and Joyce is a super heavy, so i doubt it would happen soon, but if Usyk can take the punch of Joyce with the small gloves, he would outbox him to death again.
