Yeah Parker carrying facial damage, but damn i have carried worse from fights on the 'pavement arena' when i was in my foolish late teens/early 20s, and i did not have a 270 pound juggernaut punching me in the face, though a few of the bouncers in the 70s might have been, alcohol blurred my judgement. Swelling is just the body's way of protecting a part of itself that has been injured, some folk get more swelling than others, same way some folk cut more easily. See the way Marciano looked postfight at times, his face was not what one might expect as being that of the winner.
That's not racist AT ALL. Bruising is far less apparent on darker skin due to contrast, you motherless imbeciles.
I'm calling Mono a muppet for pulling the race card, yet here you are calling me a motherless imbecile. I'm ready for your apology.
You're the one coming off as stupid here It's a fact that white people's skin damages and cuts much easier, Rocky Marciano or Vitali Klitschko against Lennox Lewis are perfect examples.
Parker takes a good beating and showed heart last night. I didn’t think he could sustain that type of beating. That said, we don’t give participation prizes around here. He’s a pretty good fighter but has a boring style and is far from elite. I’d like to see Joyce fight Wilder! He takes a good punch and is huge, Wilder can dish out big punches but has holes in his game. This is a good fight on paper.
Joyce's performance was remarkable. Ironic you used the word sloth when referring to Parker. Actually, Joyce reminds me of a sloth when he is fighting. I'm ducking and weaving for him as I'm watching him fight. "Duck, Joe! Get your hands up, Joe! Look out, Joe!" I like Joyce and was astounded at how well he did against Parker. He managed to keep his hands up most of the time. Parker just missed on so many occasions. I was really afraid Joe was going to get clocked. Joe can take a hell of a punch. The concern I have is if he gets in there with a quick HW like Ruiz who can land multiple shots in an exchange. That is the only way you are going to stop Joyce. Either that or one perfectly placed Wilder right hand. Joyce is the kind of guy you feel like saying, "Joe, for your own sake, get out of boxing before you get seriously hurt." He is a heck of a nice guy and can take an incredible punch but, man, does he appear vulnerable. And what an apt name, The Juggernaut.
You are right with most of that. But there is no way in hell Andy Ruiz stands any sort of chance against Joyce. He’s not a big puncher and he would not be able to handle Joyce. Joyce would laugh off his punches. In fact, I don’t even think he’d land many. I’d like to see that; another bloke Joyce would walk right through. People put out this myth that Ruiz has great stamina. It’s good for a slob, but Joyce would prove what truly great stamina looks like - if Ruiz could go long enough.
Parker's lifespan may have been shortened by 10 years last night. And I don't want to think about the cognitive damage that may occur when he gets older.
