Wins, no theatrics. Loses, no excuses. He does the best with what he has, and doesn't go into theatrics like another top HW. He makes us proud, and I do hope he still gets a title shot that lesser HWs have gotten.
Joyce is a great guy, you can tell just from the interviews that hes a really good proper man. I wish him all the best, he'll be back.
Problem is he lacks character, he wouldn’t know how to bad mouth or make excuses if he tried. Always looks like he’s dead behind the eyes and that’s not an attack on him, just how I think he comes across in front of the camera.
I think not feeling or satisfying the urge to act like a fool either for your own view of self or others' view of you is a strong sign of a wise person. I'm certain he could be rude and bad mouth other fighters, but he doesn't feel the need to get attention, to tear others down or entertain himself by thinking of himself as a super unique person. He's happy simply being.
Joyce does indeed seem like a good guy but he also seems to lack the fire or killer instinct it takes to be a great fighter, he appears indifferent. To me it seems like Joyce only boxes because he doesn't have anything else to do.
Maybe what I said wasn't meant the way I intended or wasn't best phrased. After his career is over and done with, will he be remembered like Tyson or Lewis or Fury was in 5-10 years after his retirement?
