Joyce was good enough to beat Hrgovic in the amateurs. But Joyce is washed up now, his reflexes are gone.
Or awkward enough. There are countless tapes of him now, and out of the two Hrgovic is the one more capable of making adjustments.
Tough for Hrgovic to best Joyce with half a training camp. At the same time, if Joyce does not get rid of those 15-20 extra pounds he is carrying he is in trouble. I feel Hrgovic lights Joyce up early in the fight but fades late and Joyce wins by TKO.
The two times Hrgovic has been in with guys who hit him back hard he looked like he didn't want to be in there. We know that Joyce will hit him, and that Joyce is comfortable with a work rate that Hrgovic just won't be. Unless Joyce's chin has completely gone I can't see him losing. People will say about how bad he looked against Chisora, but I think I would probably pick Chisora v Hrgovic now.
I've never been sold on Hrgovic he's missing alot of key ingredients I thought he looked awful vs McKean and slept walk through the fight and we all see what Itauma did to McKean recently... For me the only stand out attribute Hrgovic has is his chin. I think this is a winnable fight Joyce if he can put sustained pressure on Hrgovic and make him doubt himself.
Hrgovic underestimates his opponent again at the press conference, I thought he learned something from last time, this could go over his head...
