Thought I would give fellow fans the heads up for what should be a great night of boxing at the Copper Box on Saturday 15 April.
I rate this fight and think Joe will have a harder time than people think. Despite Zhang's obvious limitations, I reckon he'll put up some resistance to Joyce breaking people down, and his southpaw stance will reduce the effectiveness of Joyce's jab, which is one of his best instruments. This fight sort of reminds me of Whyte-Ortiz if it took place in 2018, where I would've picked Whyte but it's a genuinely banana skin. I think this fight will prove Joe's level because even though he's surpassed my opinion of him, there's STILL an argument to be made that he's been well-matched to date
Got mine before I posted thread and cannot wait to see the big man live. A win surely sets up a well deserved and long overdue shot at a World Title.
Agree it might be tough early on. I think first 4-5 rounds it will be competitive, with Joe then starting to dominate. Very good fun fight. I think Ortiz would have flattened Whyte, his square on stance would have been his downfall imo.
Rumoured to be fighting Joshua: hamster lunged geriatric bum only useful to the Chinese market Signed to fight Joyce: What a fight! Zhang is a real danger for the first 1 and 3/4 rounds, TAKE MY MONEY
haha this is true! I was I'm not a massive fan of Zhang but I want to go watch Joyce live for the first time.
Got one of the £55 tickets, which is incredible considering some small hall shows like the ones at York Hall are £50. Any updates on the undercard?
Sounds like a British boxing Forum meet up is on the cards here. I might even look at tickets myself!
