You'll see. Takam vs Joyce will go the distance and it will go similar to Joyce vs Jennings. And if Joyce KOs Takam credit to him but Chisora and Povetkin also did that. Joyce is top 10 but he is starting to get overrated because he stopped an unproven Dubois.

 

I don't know if he'll toy with him since Takam has traditionally always given top fighters a hard night's work. He might be reaching that age though where he's starting to slip, and he's been in a couple of hard fought contests that might have taken something out of him. But if he brings his regular game he should at least make Joyce work for his win, much like Jennings did.

It's a decent stay busy fight though at this stage I'd like to see Joyce start to step it up a bit. Trouble is most of the top ten is tied up or unavailable. Povetkin is retiring, Joyce and Usyk are fighting, Fury and Wilder are fighting, Whyte will probably be targeting Ruiz or another American, and Ortiz doesn't go near anyone with a pulse.

Someone like Hunter or Parker would be a good test out of the available options. Maybe Chisora, though I'd argue he isn't actually any better than Takam in terms of what he can bring to challenge Joyce. He'll probably have to take on a couple of guys on a similar level for a bit before manoeuvring himself into a bigger fight since so much of the current top ten is interchangeable.

 

Jennings gave Joyce a lot of problems, Takam brings to the table a lot of the things that Jennings did, maybe minus the durability. Joyce should win by stoppage, but It won’t be easy and Takam will make him look bad at least for the first half of the fight.

 

Joyce would give Fury a hard time

 

You always talk about "unproven" this and that, but in the same breath you have credited some boxers as "top 10 fighters" who haven't beaten anybody in their entire career just to elevate Joshua's record.

Takam is crap and Joyce will beat him one way or another. Who cares how he does it? He will beat him and he will enjoy doing so. It Joyce wants to stop him he probably will. Takam is a basic plodding pudding.

Who do you speak of that i wrongfully credit as a top 10 to elevate Joshuas resume. Because if you're intelligent you'll realize i never claimed Takam was a top 10 or even top 15. I think you also accused me of claiming bum Breazeale as an elite fighter once as well. You're likely under the impression that i see these bums Aj beat like Molina or Martin as world class fighters
