For me this makes the most sense to happen next for both fighters, a year ago I’d have fully expected Joyce to completely dominate and stop Whyte, who I’ve never really rated and I don’t think he can take a shot anymore. However after how bad Joyce looked against Ali, even slower than usual, less confident etc, even looked to be blowing out his arse, I can’t call this now, who wins?
Joyce is easily hittable and Whyte does have a great left hook but I'd still favour Joyce to KO Whyte. The fight makes sense, winner gets another big fight whilst the loser will probably retire.
There's a few whispers doing the rounds about Wilder v Whyte Joyce v Whyte would make much more sense to me though - both men are shot to bits and slow, so hopefully they can get out of there safely with a load of Saudi money.
Wilder can't be that bad two fights in a row, could be a short night for Whyte... I'm with the original poster, Whyte-Joyce is a great domestic tear-up (for Saudi to take away to a soul-less arena).
Retire!! I wish, but sadly we live in an era where the same dozen or so fighters get trotted out again and again and again even though it's clearly game over at the upper levels for them.Winner probably gets Chisora
Spencer Fearon is calling for AJ-Whyte, which is enough to make me call for Joyce-Whyte just to disagree.
Personally begrudge Whyte the payday.. talk about right place right time for a career where his purses have massively exceeded his ability.
I'd have backed Joyce 18 months ago but after the Kash Ali fight the other day my money would have to be on Whyte by KO.
