Rich from yoka to dig that win up. Joyce should’ve had his hand raised but they wanted the yoka and his girlfriend double gold medal story
I always say on here that Yoka is underrated. I think he’ll shock people in his career and rack up some decent wins. Joyce is clear though. On the cusp of a world title shot.
This is a fight that Warren should target for early next year. The Olympic rematch with some genuine bad blood, plus Joyce has got some momentum behind him.
Warren doesn’t like mean anyone less than a 10/1 underdog. Never going to risk Joyce’s position with the WBO
Thought Joyce was robbed of an Olympic Gold, clearly won the fight. Not been impressed by Yoka either as a pro.
This is a brilliant fight and one of the better match ups in the HW scene- the type of fight we all want to see and which should be happening. Sadly, we are unlikely to see this going ahead for obvious reasons. I would strongly back Joyce to win this and probably stop Yoka late on. Yoka has been massively underwhelming as a pro, he's talented but has looked poor against out of shape gatekeepers like Hammer. His downfall so far has also been inactivity. At the low level he is fighting at, you can't fight just twice a year and expect to get anywhere. He also (allegedly) does not want to fight outside of France, which will cause him huge problems in progressing his career.
Looks like Yoka will continue to fight on Canal+ for another 2 years vs bums. Bumming it up in France vs Eurobums. Then he may step up. Or he may just retire. Who knows?
