Great to see your return on the forum Jim. Joyce got badly bashed up in the first fight and that beating was going to take it out of him at 38 years of age. Got to give him huge credit for going out on his shield in the first fight and having the bottle to get right back in again against a heavy handed 21st Chinaman. Joyce gave us some good nights and willing to fight anyone but there is no coming back from this at the top level. Eddie Hearn stated last week that Joshua will fight Zhang no problem so I look forward to watching this in December on DAZN UK Box Office. No excuses, no hiding and no ducking.
I pick PAPA ZHANGOS ten year old daughter to jab AJs nut right off for him and make him QUIT. I also pick GRANDPAPA ZHEE to beat AJ on points at the ripe old age of 75
I’m starting to think Bellend and DramaShow could be the same person by the way they worship all things Hearn, Matchroom and DAZN.
good to see you beale fantastic post I have to say I am a bit worried reading it I know you know your stuff mate you seem down on Joyce it might be a style thing mate it could be that but beale I think Joyce has lost confidence he looked scared in there thatwasnt to do with being shot that was a mental thing it could be as bad as being shot but its easier to fix when your shot theres no going back there could be hope what do you reckon could you explain a bit further because I think its a style thing and hes now nervous and scared it was such a shame I thought hed come in there and be confident but he wasnt
good to see you mate thanks for that bud missed the friends on the forum having a laugh an watching the Joyce fight I was desperate to see what folk were thinking but then again I was disappointed I was a bit shocked I just sat there in disbelief mate he was scared that big fella who was so confident he was a shell of a man
Hello Jim, I agree with you that I also thought Joyce looked scared in the rematch with Zhang. You could see it all over his face sadly.
good to see yo sonny what was your opinion on it all ill tell you I was expecting him to be quite confident when he came back in I was thinking Joyce thought to himself I took it to lightly I had a bloody awful game plan couldnt be any worse than that so I was thinking he would do a lot better and make it go to the later rounds but Zhang was hitting him easy Joyce looked scared from early on it was shocking it was like his timid nature came into the ring normally he is no timid like that in the ring I really like the fella he should get in against an orthodox might do ok again and get a bit of his confidence back theres a big fella southpaw Russian or Uzbekistan or something like that 6 foot 7 and hes called jamalov or something he would be another nightmare for joyce
I saw it the same way as you described above Jim. I thought the extra weight would allow him to push Zhang back a bit and I was expecting a longer fight than last time. We all underestimated Zhang, not just Joyce and he got himself a statement win as Joe has ever been dropped before. Congratulations to him. I fully expect Joyce to continue and he needs to get his confidence in the ring back. Matchmaking will be absolutely key. Wish him the best mate!
I think the first beating has knocked the fight out of him, he looked beat to me on his way to the ring, he looked very scared to be hit unlike in the past and he came in heavy to add more power yet threw no punches. Sometimes fighters are never the same after being badly bashed up and his iron face is crumbling by the punch. Would be great if I am wrong but he looks so bad that even British level fighters like Joshua, Whyte and Chisora could beat him now with European level Dubois a slight favourite for me in a rematch. Joyce deserved a shot at a World Title but I cannot see that happening now for him.
