jr. welterweight champs that prime Ricky Hatton COULD beat

Discussion in 'Classic Boxing Forum' started by RealBoxingGuy, Oct 6, 2011.

  1. Hello everyone, I looked back at some old threads of Ricky Hatton vs various people. Most picked hatton to lose to most everyone a few said he might give a tough fight to some guys but still lose. So my question is who DOES HATTON beat? Greg Haugen? Devon Alexnder?

    Aaron Pryor , without d black bottle , with it , i still don't know .
And i really don't mean that he couldn't beat others .
I don't know why d certainty about Arguello beating Hatton 4 example , Arguello started his career @ 126 , and unlike Pacquiao & Armstrong , did not compete vs welterweight titlists . Hatton did and even became a welterweight titlist , while Arguello didn't even compete @ d weight .
    Was Arguello @ 140 more dangerous than Collazo @ 147 ?
    or than Floyd @ 147 ? and it took Floyd (no *****) quite a while 2 stop Hatton @ 147 .
Greg Haugen ? IDK , stopped by Chavez , went 1:2 with Pazienza and 1:1 with Camacho .

titlests? timothy bradley, devon alexander, bruce curry, roger mayweather, etc. plenty to be fair

    world? couldn't say

  4. Pryor would absolutely kill him. Legalised murder.

There's probably a fair few, but we only really saw a peak Hatton against a world class fighter for one night, before he started slipping. The weight drained mess that was blown away in two rounds by Pacquiao would have been lucky to win a world title against anybody, other than the weakest champions in history.

That weight drained mess looked better tha ever in the fight before Pac against malinaggi. Pac deserves all the credit in the world for that demolition job he did on ricky. That was one of the most amazing performances I have seen by a boxer

I do agree with you that Hatton could of been a lot better if he was more disciplined

Pryor DESTROYS Hatton. It would be borderline manslaughter.

I honestly think Bradley would beat Hatton. R. Mayweather too.

If anyone says Muangsurin I will go wild. The Thai caveman would smash him to bits.

That's all I've seen of Lopopolo though.

Do you know of the circumstances of his win over Hernandez at all? Robbery?

Nah, I've always been there mate  They don't seem obscure to me really, Muangsurin for instance made 7 defences in a year when there was only two straps and was arguably 2nd only to Cervantes at one point (I think The Ring had him over Kid Pambele when Benitez did him) and faced Hearns when past his best. Basic stuff ;-)

    Muangsurin would smash Wicky.
