Source? Also, Taylor would be foolish to take this. If he beats Ward and I believe he has a strong chance, he has a title and a chance to make a lot more down the road.

As I indicated in a prior thread, he has been KO's three times (fights in which he was very competitive). Archie Moore was KO'd three times before 1948. Should he have retired before winning the title?

Bottom line: Enough of Dibella's nanny state nonsense. Taylor needs to fight Ward and win.

Good news, Taylor is done, better take off than get KO'd like that again. Hope he does good in whatever he decides to go for.

Exactly. If Taylor drops out, who's he going to box & what sort of purse is he going to receive?

Mind you, if Dibella is serious about buying him out, then that does show he must genuinely care about JT, so it could be taken as a caring gesture.

Can't see JT having it though. IF he were to beat Ward, he's right back in business, even more so as Ward has beaten a guy who was the favourite to win the tournament at the start.

Ya now what would be awesome? Take the buy out. Hook up with Top Rank, and fight 3 times in 2010 on Arum's new TV show on FSNW. Fight Manfredo, Ornales, and Brinkley, and then come back in 2011 and beat the tourney winner. Highly unlikely scenario, but it sure would be fun to watch.

How about instead of that, he just stays the course, Buster Douglases SOG, and then follows his blueprint to lay some angles down on Kessler to advance to the semi-finals? :deal

That would be stunning. However, if JT wants to continue, I honestly beleive he should take 2 or 3 lower level fights just to get himself totally together. He looked HORRID in his last fight.

Taylor will go on. No way he's gonna stop just before a fight vs Andre Ward. Ward is no danger (no power) for Taylor...

We are assuming that JT has a choice in this but we have NO idea how the contracts are written.

Taylor is still the most gifted fighter in the tournament , still cannot believe the robot froch caught up with him , and Taylors jab is still the best in the business.

Wow, Big Bute fan huh? Andrade makes Froch look like Floyd Mayweather.
Abraham is must see TV for any boxing fan.
Froch - Kessler will be exciting especially when you consider there last fight and how they both will try to improve and thier styles match up very well.

Regarding Ward, Just listen to Al Beristain commentary after the fight. You can't take away from Ward's performance. I can see why a Bute fan would try to discredit the Super6 but not a Boxing fan.

Can't wait until the next round, would like Bika in the mix instead of Taylor

    Would prefer Bute though!!!!
