    Yeah...lax parenting.

"Do your homework, Ricardito! Don't you want to have a future??"

    "Meh. :conf"

Oh and for the record, in case anybody wondered, Rocky did officially retire (again) the day after his loss to Robin Hood Castellanos. :good

The victory over René Alvarado was nice and everything (and pushed him to a 2-0 positive streak after having slumped for seven in a row; a draw and half a dozen losses) but I can't help but wonder if he wouldn't have been served better leaving well enough alone by just staying retired in 2012 off beating Escalante. It wasn't going to get any better for him, and that was a blown chance to walk away with a W - a stoppage, no less.

    Good article. :thumbsup

...and I had completely forgotten that a date with Jhonny González was supposed to lie in store for whoever came out ahead that night. :huh

Instead of getting that, Castellanos has actually languished on the shelf for thirteen months and is facing Oscar Escandón this Saturday for the interim WBC featherweight title. Jhonny González for his part fought a whopping four times in 2015, all since Juárez vs. Castellanos - losing his belt to Gary Russell Jr. and going 2-1 in his comeback since.
