Carrillo is starting to pelt the body of Rankin with right hooks as the North Carolinian shells up and leans over sideways to avoid being clinched & headlocked or hit with straight head shots down the pipe. Rankin popping a double southpaw jab and then dipping over at the waist to dodge the counterattacks of Carrillo, but he keeps shrimping up too long and getting pepped with body shots as Carrillo smothers him until the ref orders a break. Carrillo just mauling, imposing himself physically. They wrestle for the last 15 seconds.

Carrillo paws with a right push-jab with his wrist turned up and palm facing out, then lays Rankin out with the first clean shot of the round, a big left uppercut on the chin from mid-range!! Down and wobbling to his feet at the count of nine, but can't even take a straight forward step and waved off.

KO3!!

Shishkin vs. Guy ought to be up next, if anybody sane was booking this. Least they could do is replay it since the "main event" ended so soon...
