Like many Cuban fighters who leave Cuba, Gomez started to slide quite a bit once he got a taste of the good life. But, at his best, he was a cut above Gassiev. Gassiev is strong, and, hits hard, but, he is certainly no master boxer. Gomez would win a decision.
Interesting fight. I'm going to take Gassiev but not with a lot of confidence. I will just always think of that time Yanqi Diaz starched Gomez. He was a solid boxer but he could be hurt.
