gomez was a good cruiserweight in his better years held the title and made 10 defeneces altough the majority of the fighters he faced were questionable but given how bad the devision was at the time you couldnt really blame him i think some of the title holders like johnny nelson ducked him (he later admmitted it in his book) how do u see gomez doing against haye, i dont think haye was as experienced at championship level as gomez was, gomez had a pritty average chin and haye hits plenty hard but haye himself has very poor punch resistance and gomez could bang a bit, i havent seen any of gomezes fight at cruiser quiet honestly i havent seen many of gomezes fight but the beating he took to vitali

He'd have a chance for sure. Just thinking of these type of fights make me cringe though. I would have no interest in seeing it unless they simutaneously knocked each other out.

Gomez looked excellent at cruiser however his competition was poor. In a fight against Haye it could go either way Haye beat better guys at this weight but showed more vulnerabilities too. If I had to choose I would go with Gomez he looked a very different fighter at crusier then he does today.
