He'd have done it at CW, and he would do it at HW. I've just watched some his fights and although Haye has more power, JCG throws nicer combinations and has better defence and overall skills.

That's the fight we should have seen, with the winner taking on one of the Klitschkos.

I think Haye beats Gomez by late round KO but gets bloodied and shaken in the process.

I don't think Gomez would KO Haye. Gomez is not a huge puncher and he likes to sit back and fight at his own pace he is not aggressive enough.

Now, I could see Gomez taking a UD.

His Southpaw style would trouble Haye for sure.

and his footwork. Gomez has some sweet footwork and is always out of the way after throwing his punches.

    I guess?

Personally I'm glad we wouldn't see it happen..as I figure Gomez is the only guy in the division currently who could make David Haye seem boring. I think Gomez stands a decent chance against Vitali and Haye stands a decent chance against Wlad. Both scenarios work for me.

yea i saw the fight it was a bad loss but he's beaten much better fighters than Yanqui Diaz many times since.

I mean Haye has the perfect weapon against southpaws so it would be an interesting fight for sure. Both could cause each other trouble.
