    Round 1

Reveco is aggressive from the start, throwing fast combos at Nunez. Jabs up top by Reveco to set up his big hooking combos, full-tilt barging in, going to body and head. Nunez answers back tit for tat but is pushed back.

    10-9 Reveco

    Round 2

Big wide, sometimes slapping hooks by Reveco at mid-range. Nunez is arching his neck to slip them while backpedaling and looking to counter with both hands. Reveco stays low, approaching in a drunken amble before fading off to one side with a big hook delivered up top.

    10-9 Reveco

    20-18 Reveco

    Round 3

Reveco is jabbing straight into Nunez's guard and then whipping in giant left hooks, springing up off bent knee to emphasize them. Nunez tries to time him with counter jabs on the face. Nice 1-2 by Nunez after taking a half-step outside. Clinch. Reveco ducks and rolls under the next 1-2 from Nunez and slaps a hook into his side.

    10-9 Reveco

    30-27 Reveco

    Round 4

Reveco is leaning his upper body in, leaving his chin exposed, then jerking back as Nunez fires straights and throwing fast wide left hooks while leaned back. Very odd style, but effective. Reveco hooks the body and Nunez is forced to move inside and tie up. Jab by Reveco, then a quick hook downstairs. Nunez is having difficulty timing him, but throwing more technically correct punches. Double jab by Nunez, aimed at Reveco's forehead to set up his plunging right to the body. Reveco maintains distance and keeps throwing long hooks up and down. HARD straight right by Reveco, hurting Nunez. Clinch.

    10-9 Reveco

    40-36 Reveco

    Round 5

Reveco is ducking forward past the Nunez overhand and drops his own face into the path of a Nunez uppercut. Reveco backs up with hooks flowing, creating a crossfire Nunez has to come through. Nunez braves it and gets clipped with a couple on the sides and jaw. Big long 1-2 by Reveco from outside, the jab shooting up from by his hip so fast Nunez didn't see it coming and followed immediately by the cross. Reveco is using speed to negate Nunez's technique. Huge right hand slung up into Nunez's face by Reveco while doing a partial split, legs spread far apart.

    10-9 Reveco

    50-45 Reveco

    Round 6

Reveco is stepping in with his forearms pinned together, catching Nunez's jabs and 1-2, and then hammering Nunez with ferris wheel right hands. Nunez is skipping back and resetting, looking to jab in rhythm. Reveco breaks up that rhythm by rushing in, pulling up short with his guard raised, and then alternately throwing quick jabs between the gloves or big windmilled rights from above.

    10-9 Reveco

    60-54 Reveco

    Round 7

Reveco is blocking a Nunez pitches straights down at his face. Nunez squats and tries a hook to the body. Reveco chops him in the face with a right. Reveco is digging hard lefts to the body and scooting back, sending a fast high jab into Nunez's field of vision as he circles clockwise. Nunez is walking to the shorter man, spearing in jabs and right hands and falling in with them. Reveco is ducking and hooking unpredictably.

    10-9 Reveco

    70-63 Reveco

    Round 8

Hook by Reveco. They step together with overhands. Big head clash. Both are bothered, Reveco more so. He is cut, in fact. He blinks and winces but seems reluctant to go let the doctor inspect him, although he is pitching a shutout (on not only the card of the Argentine TV outlet but on mine and most of those watching and scoring along on Twitter) - maybe just not liking the idea of such a dissatisfying ending for the fans. He acquiesces, going over by the ropes where the doctor on the ring apron takes a long hard look. The bleeding seems uncontrollable. Yep, that's it. We are going to review the scorecards for a technical decision. The partial eighth must be scored, even thought it barely got started.

    10-9 Reveco

    80-72 Reveco

I think I heard those right.

"Ochenta para Reveco...setanta uno para Nunez"

Not sure what the extra point is about. I definitely never saw a knockdown or a point deduction from Nunez. It should be 'ochenta' for Reveco, and 'setanta y dos' for Nunez from the judges. :think

    (not that it matters really)

    From the undercard:

    [yt]H5HuMSqr2Ng[/yt]

I missed this live, as did probably everyone since it was on at the same time as the Bradley vs. Marquez PPV main event.

Oddly timed stoppage but still very impressive stuff from Castaño, as it has been every time I've seen him in the World Series of Boxing and the actual pros. He is being moved along very quickly and not babied.

Lacerda is a tough and tricky customer, kind of a nightmare journeyman more than capable of exposing an illegitimate prospect. He went the distance with Andy Murray and Humberto Soto and only ever got stopped a few times before, and those were at the hands of guys who are still unbeaten and with high KO percentages. In the case of the loss to Eduard Troyanovsky last June, Lacerda was actually up narrowly on my card and had scored a knockdown of Troyanovsky in the ninth. With that he could have sprung the upset and came damn close but got stopped by Troyanovsky with only seconds to spare on the clock. (a'la Froch vs. Taylor)

Castaño showed his class here, although the exact moment chosen by the ref to step in was a bit non-sequitur.
