Round 1

Mendez doubles the jab on the outside. Flush right cross by Mendez. Salgado throws a 1-2 to the body with Mendez's arms taking some of the brunt. Slick defense by Mendez, turning side to side. Salgado runs into a BIG COUNTER AND IS DROPPED!! Almost a minute left to go!! Salgado still looks stunned. Jabs and overhand rights by Mendez. Salgado is on the ropes, getting creamed, blinking away the pain as Mendez repeatedly nails him. Salgado holds.

Round 2

Salgado puts in some underhand slaps to the body. Mendez jabs and drops out of the line of Salgado's head shots. Salgado tries some overhands anyway. Mendez slips and twists his body, then counters with quick up-jabs and straight rights. Mendez swings his arms at his sides and buzzes Salgado with a big left hook near the end of the round.

Salgado is chucking right hands in from a distance. Mendez bows and slips. Salgado is touching Mendez with his jab to the throat & below the ear, and getting a piece with the right hand whipped in from around the back. Mendez is rolling with the punches and tossing short counter combos. Mendez goes up on his toes for a hook-2 as Salgado pulls back. Double jab, right hand by Mendez. HARD right to the body by Mendez while ducking through a Salgado left hook up top. Mendez circles by the ropes and waves a light grazing left hook to the spikes of Salgado's hair.

Mendez swings his left arm low, towel-snapping jabs. Salgado pops a jab leaping in, then shies away. Salgado is waving his arms out wide. Hook and clubbing right combo by Salgado pressing in on Mendez. Body shots in the clinch by Salgado. COUNTER RIGHT HAND, LEFT HOOK COMBO BY MENDEZ. SALGADO OUT COLD!
