    Round 9

Sanchez is throwing left hands over Sosa's head. Jab, left, jab by Sanchez all ducked as Sosa drops a level and weaves in, hooking the body. Sosa traps Sanchez on the ropes and slams into him with overhands. Left to the body by Sanchez as Sosa takes a break. Sosa lands a stiff left to the body.

    10-9 Sosa

    88-83 Sanchez

The complexion of this match completely changes on the inside.

    Round 10

Sanchez is getting walked down and forced into missteps and errors in his flight path by Sosa's persistent interior presence. Sosa isn't landing much but is reducing Sanchez's comfort level by orders of exponent. Left hand lead by Sanchez. Sosa ducks and slides forward, going for the body. Counters by Sanchez.

10-9 Sanchez but not by much, only by grace of his patched-over defense.

    98-92 Sanchez

    Round 11

Sanchez is tracking away, somewhat drunkenly crashing into the ropes and wincing in surprise at the sensation, very jumpy and edgy now. Sanchez dances away, leaving a breadcrumb trail of light right jabs for Sosa to follow. Sosa is following and missing jabs as Sanchez abandons his length and height, leaning over past the waist and moving in to hold and forestall any inside fighting. Overhand right by Sosa. Big wide sweeping left hook by Sosa, missing. Overhand right and left hook by Sosa, landing both. Big rally by Sosa, pounding Sanchez's body.

    10-9 Sosa

    107-102 Sanchez

Sosa needs a knockout IMO, but he did great work to upend Sanchez's momentum in the 2nd half.

    Round 12

Sanchez is stepping to his right, lining up the 1-2, then left. Sosa swats the right jab of Sanchez out of the air with his left. Sosa is taking purposeful steps toward Sanchez, direct route, nothing wasted. Sosa wants to fold him in half with body shots, blatantly telegraphing his intentions but confident that Sanchez doesn't have the legs to avoid the inevitable. Sosa comes in and lands a few lunging body shots. Sanchez LINES UP A STRAIGHT LEFT HAND COUNTER AND DROPS SOSA, OUT OF NOWHERE! Everybody seems astonished, including Sanchez. Sosa isn't hurt, and instantly resumes his swarming to preserve his dignity. He runs out of time.

    10-8 Sanchez

    117-110 Sanchez

I thought a knockdown in the 12th was likely, but that isn't what I had in mind!

I thought Sosa won this round quite clearly , IB.

I gave him the round 11 too. Only these two rounds though.

I thought Zurdito was in control with his rhythm and ring generalship for the entire first half. In the 3rd and 6th Sosa upped his output and came a bit closer to getting Sanchez on the ropes but his bunches of hooks to the body were still wild enough and Sanchez still had enough of his legs for not much to land cleanly.

Basically in 3 and 6 he tried doing what he was ultimately able to do in 11 but didn't quite put it all together. Then in 8 and 9, he did more or less the same but it was Sanchez who gave them away by working much less, seeming tired and rattled by Sosa's pressure.
