First half, he was the better Arce of recent vintage (think round 1 against Rojas).

Second half...eh, think Angkotta rematch. :err

Well the fight was at 126 so we can't read TOO much into it.

FYI- Boxrec has Rocky Martinez vs Arce scheduled for december 8th(Marquez vs Pac undercard no doubt)...... I hope thats a joke Martinez would rip him a new *******.

Well, the one silver lining for Arce is that Beltran didn't get the nod (which he may have deserved) because he'd actually be even more dangerous to Arce than Rocky. :conf

Depends on how you look at it. Martinez is a brute and I doubt ARce will be able to keep him off.

Arce should retire on top. He can put in one final great performance against Martinez who's a decent, but beatable fighter. Arce would have to bring his A game one last time he's looked bad in his last couple of fights post VQZJR. I think winning the belt was his last hurrah. His timing is off, his power not significant as it was, actually beating a Rojas, Martinez, or Beltran would be a great way to exit and hang them up. Instead, I think if Arce does beat Martinez, he'll miss the point and get a slimmer of hope he'll have a chance against Nonito who I think is out of the question. Whoever looking out for Arce not doing good job. 122 is already well beyond his natural weight now testing waters at 126? WTF?

Arce was part of a reality show (think survivor) this summer, he actually requested to leave the show early because eating only rice, coconuts and sleeping in a cave was taking a major toll in his body. I hope he stops thinking about fighting Salido and retires as warrior in the top.
