juan has been cotto'ing his last few oponents, he is the lightweight version of miguel cotto.

forget baby bull that is a ***** name, cotto is synonymous for pain and punishment

He is similar to Cotto in that he wears his opponents down by attrition.

Cotto has more power, concentrated in fewer shots.

Diaz has less power, but his combos fall like rain until you quit.

    They both make people quit.

Juan Diaz has accomplished much more than Cotto, Diaz is more deserving of top 10 pound 4 pound rating that Cotto is (at this point).

diaz is a relentless pressure fighter, but lacks the punching power of miguel cotto. miguel cotto is a much more rounded fighter.

There are some similarities: both are pressure fighters who are smart and tactical. Both make guys quit or beat them down.

How so? Cotto has beaten consistently good opposition over a longer period of time. Diaz really only has Freitas and Julio as top names, basically both reaching the tail end of their respective careers.

Cotto has quicker feet, tighter punches. Juan throws quicker combinations, with slightly less power, but a slightly higher workrate. Both have good jabs, a tight and high guard and like to fight most times in close quarters. Both can box when they need to IMO. There are similarities there, but they are still different as fighters.
