Diaz was originally supposed to fight beltran but beltran pulled out. From that opponent selection it would appear diaz is about to step up the level of opposition for his comeback. Hopefully a high level replacement can be found. If it were up to you guys who would you have in there with him?

He's fought tomato cans his last few fights, I think he'll be very cautious. That Marquez ko completely derailed his career and he's never been the same, his handlers don't want a repeat of that.

Yeah not a bad comeback model after the layoff he had after the second marquez fight. He is still surprisingly young and could make another attempt at a title run

He's young but he's got alotttttt of mileage on him. He's been in some gruelling fights. I'd love to see him back in the mix, his fights are always entertaining.

Please god no. As a diaz fan I think those two fights prove he can't beat paulie. Also would not want diaz at 147

For what? Paulie already kicked his ass twice.

If it were up to, it'd be Diaz vs Provodnikov.

The George Foreman route is the right route. Take it slow. He is just 30 years old. Let´s see where he is at. He needs to be protected until it´s clear where he stands at.
And he definitely has to learn from past mistakes.

Would love a match between diaz and omar figuerro. Would be all action and diaz would have a decent shot, not sure if he could hang with that kind of power anymore

I'd take "Baby Bull" over Omar Figueroa IF the fight is made within the next year or so.

Much as I dislike Diaz, I must admit.......... Omar Figueroa is ****ing GARBAGE! He truly is a fraud. Prime Diaz would beat the Hell outta Figueroa, but at this point he likely can't handle that type of pace.

Age means NOTHING in boxing. What about this don't people get? It's all about mileage, and also about styles.

Diaz never had much natural talent. He was successful because of the high workrate he could maintain. It's a style that works best when you're young, and fresh.

At this point, he won't able to maintain the same type of pace he could fight at 7 years ago. And it's not like he has any power, or great skill to fall back on.
